Konrad Bień-Stephen has explained why he broke off his romance with Megan Marx after their steamy hot tub hookup at The Challenge.

After his elimination on Monday’s episode, the 31-year-old had nothing but kind words for Megan, 32, revealing where their relationship stands after the show.

“I guess it was nice to have someone inside [the house] being intimate or having that understanding that you can do that and it doesn’t mean you have to go out or that it doesn’t have to be something serious,” she added.

Konrad explained that their connection was “just two adults having fun”, adding that an affair “doesn’t need to be more than that”.

However, he stressed that the couple is still friends and talks frequently.

‘Abbie and I had broken up a month before we entered the house [to film] so I was very single,’ the carpenter previously said the daily telegraph.

‘I wasn’t going to go in there looking for love or any kind of relationship or anything. That was not my way of thinking going in.

Konrad went on to say that he and Abbie parted ways “amicably” and “they both moved on with their lives.”

Meanwhile, Konrad and singer Thelma Plum have sparked romance rumors after getting an up-close look at the NGV gala in Melbourne on Saturday.
