The Boys season four trailer: Billy Butcher’s team of rogue superheroes combats the fascist rise of Homelander and The Seven
The official trailer for the upcoming fourth season of the dark comedy superhero series The Boys was released on Friday.
In the clip, Billy Butcher, played by Karl Urban, and his teammates reunited to put an end to the political rise of Homelander, played by Antony Starr.
The program – which became the basis for a spin-off series – also stars Jack Quaid, Erin Moriarty and Laz Alonso, who play Hugh “Hughie” Campbell, Erin Moriarty/Starlight and Mother’s Milk, respectively.
The trailer opens with Butcher meeting up with his old teammates and as he recalls his stepson Ryan’s betrayal to be with Homelander, he says, “I look back on my life and all I see is the mess I made . And I don’t have time to fix it.’
Butcher then tells his teammates that he needs them to put an end to Homelander’s reign of terror, before the quirky superhero shows up at a political rally and encourages the use of “terrible” methods for “the greater good.”

Several members of The Seven proceed to murder several individuals after Homelander encourages them to “show me a little wrath,” much to the surprise of Ashley Barrett, president of Vought International.
Joe Kessler, played by Jeffrey Dean Morgan, then encourages Butcher to take action against Homelander and his associates “before the supes start rounding us up and dumping us in camps.”
Butcher later reveals that he has encountered a virus that has the potential to kill superheroes, although Starlight calls the idea of weaponizing the disease “insane and desperate, even for you.”
The Boys’ headquarters are then attacked by several members of The Seven before the group visits a farm and begins shooting at bulletproof ‘V’d up chickens’.
Although Hughie expresses concern about using violent methods to solve every problem the group encounters, The Deep, played by Chace Crawford, coolly says, “Violence is power.”
After Ryan kills a man by throwing him against a wall, Hughie adds, “If we ever want to win against monsters, we have to start acting human.”
The trailer ends after a blood-covered Butcher grins at an unseen group of characters and notes, “You’re all welcome.”

The Boys is based on the comic book series of the same name, created by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson.
The adaptation of the series debuted in July 2019, with two more seasons released in 2020 and 2022, respectively.
The program’s cast also includes artists such as Karen Fukuhara, Tomer Capone and Jessie T. Usher.
The fourth season of The Boys is currently scheduled to debut on the Amazon Prime Video streaming service on June 13.
