The body of a Russian reality TV contestant has been found in her apartment more than a month after her friends last heard from her – with the tragic discovery made when neighbors reported a ‘strong smell’.
Dom-2 participant Liberzh Kpadonu, 36, was found dead in her apartment in Korolyov, Moscow Oblast, 41 days after she died following lung surgery.
Her body was discovered at her home on March 31 after neighbors reported a pungent odor coming from the apartment.
The last time she spoke to her followers was in a video filmed from her car in mid-February, in which she shared that she was traveling to undergo surgery to remove a lump in her breast.
Through tears she said goodbye to everyone who knew her.

Neighbors reported a “strong odor” coming from her apartment, with investigators determining that Kpadonu had died in February while she was alone, without anyone noticing until now

It was the last time she spoke to her followers before her body was found by authorities.
When investigators entered the reality star’s home, they found the young woman’s body on the floor.
They determined that Kpadonu had died in February while he was alone and no one had noticed anything until now.
A neighbor named Lyudmila told local media: βShe died. We lived next door to her. Today we found her at home, she had been there for a long time.’
The young woman’s death was also confirmed by fellow reality TV participant Aliana Ustinenko, with local media reporting that Kpadonu had died shortly after undergoing surgery.
Aliana said, βIt’s all true. Forty-one days ago. Honey, rest in peace.
‘I can’t say anything, there are simply no words. The most important thing now is to reach the parents. They are not informed and know nothing yet.
βWe kindly ask you not to be negative on any subject, but simply accept and remember the good.β

A neighbor told local media: ‘She died. We lived next door to her. Today we found her at home, she had been there for a long time.’
Local media said that while the young woman’s fans had wondered where she was, her family had not.
And this despite Kpadonu telling her followers last fall that a tumor had been found in her right lung.
The investigation is ongoing.
Kpadonu took part in the Dom-2 show about relationships in September 2011, before leaving the program with one of the participants.
In 2013, she took part in the show again.
During Dom-2, she married participant Evgeny Rudnev, divorced six months later and left the project altogether in 2015.
In May 2023, Kpadonu visited the show as a representative of the jury in the ‘Person of the Year’ competition, after which the winner was allocated an apartment.
Kpadonu’s exact cause of death has not yet been announced.
