Tom and Sarah-Jane off the block have been hit over a staircase off their deck.

Sparks flew between the pair on Wednesday during the heated exchange ahead of the series finale.

It all started when builders put a railing where Sarah-Jane assumed stairs would be built.

“I had to say, ‘Excuse me, where’s my stairs?'” Sarah-Jane said.

Tom believed the stairs would have been too expensive for the couple to install.

“So you want to come to the deck through your private master suite,” Sarah-Jane asked sarcastically.

“Why can’t you just admit,” “Yeah, you’re right?” she added.

Tom fired back and said he was “not wrong” before contacting the builders who said they were solely responsible for the railings.

“I’ll have my landscaper build them,” Sarah-Jane said, trying to solve the problem.

“Unless you’re going to cough up the money to pay them…” Tom ended.

The couple later agreed they needed stairs to avoid forcing potential buyers to walk through the house to access the deck.

Sarah-Jane approached Rachel and Ryan if they could use their surplus wood to build the stairs, but they got a competitive attitude.

Sarah-Jane chose to get a trader to build the stairs for the couple instead, leaving Ryan and Rachel unimpressed.

“This is the part of the competition where you shut up and don’t let people know what you’re doing or where you obviously have money,” Ryan said.

The couple was also upset about the number of tradesmen Tom and Sarah-Jane had hired for their landscaping work.

‘If you have so many transactions’ [you have money]Ryan finished.
