The Block’s Steph is left crying in pain as she suffers painful injury during bathroom week

On Tuesday night’s episode of The Block, the blockheads risked damage to themselves and their property.

Bathroom week has begun and with it the dreaded “Waterproof Wednesday” is not far off, and the contestants are so stressed that they fall through holes in the floor and crash cars.

While Steph and Gian, both 27, were on site discussing their powder room floor with a tradesman, Steph suddenly stumbled backwards and injured herself.

“I took a step back and then fell into a hole,” she told producers.

In the aftermath, Steph cried from the pain and shock of the accident, while Gian told her to take a deep breath.

The couple explained that people used the manhole to run pipes under the floor, but someone had left it uncovered.

Steph was disoriented and suffered bruised ribs. She decided to work on administrative tasks from bed for the rest of the day.

Meanwhile, Kristy, 34, had an accident of her own, scraping the side of her car against a bollard as she exited a gas station.

The South Australian project manager hit the bollard the first time, then reversed and damaged it again.

“So technically I hit this bollard twice,” she reported.

Kristy also noted the irony of damaging the part of the car where The Block’s logo was displayed.

Many of her fellow shoppers and dealers on the spot joked about her bingle and took pictures and selfies with Kristy and her car.

Meanwhile, Eliza, 37, and Liberty, 34, got into trouble with Keith because their tradesmen used power tools after 6 p.m.

“Power tools after 6 p.m. are a huge no-go on The Block,” host Scott Cam said in voiceover.

“They kept working and not concentrating and it ticked past six and started to piss a little bit,” Eliza said of her builders.

This led to an awkward confrontation with The Block’s foreman, Keith.

“You can’t use power tools, boys,” he said, before lecturing the builders and the girls about the rules, suggesting they risk not only fines from the council, but also disqualification.

This led Eliza to say that this was her worst day on The Block.

Later, co-host Shelley Craft took one half of each team to Freedom for a mini dinner table challenge, with the dark horse Liberty taking home another $5,000.

Break dance rehearsals continued and Steph persevered despite being in pain from her fall earlier in the day.
