Tensions reached an all-time high during Tuesday’s episode of The Block.

Sharon Johal and Ankur Dogra admitted they had ‘given up on winning’ the show following their clash with judge Shaynna Blaze.

‘We’re not even trying to win, we’re just trying to survive,’ Sharon said.

The couple faced another hurdle when they blew their budget for this week’s renovation.

‘I just felt like I let everybody down,’ Sharon said.

‘I was questioning why I was here, my ability to do anything of value in this competition.’

Sharon and Ankur admitted they had ‘given up on winning’ the show following their clash with Shaynna

It comes after the former Neighbours star and design expert Shaynna clashed on Sunday night after the main bathroom reveals.

Shaynna was less-than-impressed with the not so heritage look of Sharon and husband Ankur’s bathroom.

‘If any house would make me angry, it’s doing this to that beautiful house we walked through,’ Shaynna said as she toured the space.

‘It’s not a bathroom I’m feeling good in.’

Shaynna chastised the pair, saying they better do their homework on Victorian-era homes.

‘Are you going to treat [the house] like this? ‘Cause if you’re going to treat her like this, you’re going to have to deal with me,’ Shaynna continued.

‘They need to do some homework … really quick.’

Sharon was less than pleased with the criticism and broke down in tears. It came after scoring just 20.5 out of a possible 30.

‘It just feels like I just got it completely wrong again,’ Sharon said.

‘The choices that got canned today. They were mine,’ she added.
