The Melbourne-based IT entrepreneur was the lone buyer at this year’s auctions, buying the winner’s Omar and Oz property for a staggering $5.6 million after getting into a frenzied bidding war with their “millionaire buddy” Adrian. Portelli – who arrived at the auction in a flashy yellow Lamborghini and seemed to know Omar and Oz well – opened the bid for House 5 at $4.5 million, well above the $4.08 million reserve price.

His aggressive bids meant that Wallis ended up paying a whopping $5,666,666.66 for the four-bedroom, 10-acre property, turning the boys into instant millionaires with a total profit of $1,686,666.66.

Wallis thought about his expensive purchases and said he thinks he paid too much for Omar and Oz’s property, but got the other two for a bargain.

“I probably spent too much on the first auction, but I was surprised to pick up two more homes for what I believe to be a bargain price, so I think at least it worked out for me in the end,” he said. .

Danny also donated $4.1 million to Tom and Sarah Jane’s home and a cool $4.249 million to Rachel and Ryan’s.

Danny refused to buy Ankur and Sharon’s house or Dylan and Jenny’s house – with properties that didn’t sell.

“I probably overspend on the first auction, but was surprised to pick up two more homes at what I believe to be a bargain price, so I think at least it all balanced out for me in the end,” he said. .

He also bought one of the properties in the 2012 season for $1.4 million.
