Scott Cam of The Block has offered Omar and Oz a fawning apology after the boys were forced to present an unfinished room on Sunday night.

The best friends were caught earlier in the episode being told the builders couldn’t finish their shed roof due to the wet weather.

“We’re the only participants in The Block who don’t have a roof on their shed at the moment,” Omar said, clearly irritated.

“It feels like we didn’t have the right end of the deal here at all. We’re still trying to produce rooms, and we’ve finally come to the point where we’re being told, “You’re not getting the room [finished],” he continued.

The boys got an apology from foremen Keith and Dan and the couple told the team they could get them some extra painters.

However, it was an offer the guys were uncomfortable with, which made them turn it down because other teams would complain.

The boys were forced to present an unfinished room with tarpaulins and water wreaking havoc on the space.

It wasn’t until the boys faced Scott Cam at Block’s HQ that they really felt the weight of the apology.

“Personally, on behalf of The Block, I would like to apologize to Omar and Oz,” he began.

“The rain we’ve had over the past month has prevented us from finishing your shed – and therefore unable to finish your room. So for that we say sorry.’

The judges were instructed to score the room as if it were done with the guys finishing in the middle of the pack.

Tom and Sarah-Jane took first place in the room reveals.

In the episode, the judges were hit by Covid, with Shaynna Blaze and Neale Whittaker both unable to appear due to the virus.

Former Block winners Alisa and Lysandra were instead on hand alongside Darren Palmer to score the teams.
