Block winners Omar Slaimankhel and Oz Abu Malik have big plans for the future.

Speaking to Daily Mail Australia during the red carpet premiere of Russell Crowe’s new film Poker Face in Sydney, the pair said they have Hollywood in their sights.

“I would really like to be an actor. My father told me to build, so I built. Dad, what’s your excuse now?’ That’s what Oz said Tuesday.

As for rumors of the best friends launching a TV show, Omar was coy, but said there is potential.

“We want to do one, but I feel like something like that takes a long time. So we’re just going to see what happens,” he said.

Omar and Oz said their wives and families stood by them despite the controversy.

“They are very supportive. It is what it is. They know exactly who we are and what our intentions are, and that’s it. We have great support,” Oz said.

It stems from rumors that the men have landed their own TV show on Channel Nine, which will air next year.

The West Sydney friends have already begun negotiations with the network after taking home the top prize on the renovation series a week ago.

“We loved being on TV and next year we’re 100 percent going to do something,” 30-year-old Omar told Woman’s Day magazine.

While the pair have been tight-lipped about exactly which project they’ve scored, they said it’s going to be exciting.

“We can’t say much at the moment. But definitely stay tuned,” added Oz, also 30.

“The seed is planted and it begins – something is coming.”

The nail-biting Block auctions saw triumph and heartbreak, with Omar and Oz becoming instant millionaires and winning $1.6 million in prize money, while two other couples walked away empty-handed after their homes were let in.

Sharon and Ankur have since sold their home to Adrian Portelli, Oz and Omar’s flashy businessman bidder, but Jenny and Dylan have yet to sell their property.

Rachel and Ryan took second with earnings of $169,000, followed by Tom and Sarah Jane who took third with barely the reserve of $4.08 million.

Omar and Oz were forced to raise their controversial record-breaking win after claiming they ‘rigged’ the auction by bringing in Portelli to drive up the price.

The pair insisted they “deserved” the win and their “friendship” with millionaire bidder Portelli was simply smart networking.

‘We have done some work, not only during construction, but also afterwards. We reached so many people, we were non-stop, so hard work pays off,” Omar told A Current Affair last week.

“I feel like it happens a lot in this country. You do so well and the next day you try to justify why you won,” he continued.

“It’s a shame because we deserve it and we’ve done so well.”
