The Block’s Leah and Ash reveal how they really feel after walking away from auction with no money when their house didn’t sell

Leah and Ash walked away from The Block’s grand final on Sunday without having sold their house.

But the couple is confident they made the right decision when they stopped bidding and opted to pass on the house.

“We’ve been given some breathing room to pass it on and we feel very calm about that decision and we have a lot of confidence in our officers,” Leah said. 9Entertainment.

The couple opted not to proceed with the auction because the highest bid for their home would not have generated a healthy profit.

“The next bid was $3 million, which would have given us $30,000,” Ash explained.

Leah says the choice to pass opens the house “to more audiences who might not be able to bid under auction conditions.

‘I think we’re doing well. We just have to wait it out and let the dust settle,” she added.

Leah and Ash went to auction last, with their House 2 on top with a reserve of $2.97 million.

However, the main buyer who showed interest in the property turned out to be the woman who had been taken to the hospital earlier, and now no one was that enthusiastic.

“We have some breathing room to pass it on and we feel very calm about that decision and we have a lot of confidence in our officers,” Leah said.

Once again it was a struggle to get the house to even meet the reserve price and there was talk of passing on.

Ultimately, it stopped at the $3 million mark, but the couple decided that wouldn’t be enough profit.

After tense negotiations, the house was indeed passed on and not sold on the day itself.

Dave Hughes showed some interest, but said he had to check with his wife, and the house would instead go up for sale on Monday, leaving the couple empty-handed.

The couple chose not to proceed with the auction due to the low high bid. “The next bid was $3 million, which would have given us $30,000,” Ash explained. House 2 is shown
