The Block’s Eliza and Liberty spend a portion of their $1million prize money on ‘lifelong dream’: ‘I never thought it would happen’

The Block stars Eliza and Liberty Paschke have revealed what they spent some of their profits from the show on.

The sisters, who won $1.05 million at the 2023 auction, are finally making their “lifetime dream” come true by traveling across Europe on business class flights.

In a video on Instagram, the couple said they were thrilled about the trip and that they would be meeting up with their former Block co-stars Steph and Gian, who won the 2023 season and took home $1.65 million, plus $100,000 in prize money.

‘If we hadn’t won money on The Block, we wouldn’t have been able to do this [go to Europe] “So we’re a little bit emotional and very lucky at the moment,” Eliza said in a video recorded at Melbourne airport.

‘Another new thing: it’s been my lifelong dream – I never thought it would happen – to fly business class somewhere.’

“This is probably the only time we’ll do this,” Liberty added, noting that it was “the only thing” they used their prize money to treat themselves.

“I can’t tell you how much this means to me,” Eliza continued.

On the plane, the sisters toasted their achievement and sat in their business class seats, sipping glasses of champagne.

This comes after the fan favorites appear to trade in their helmets for passports in their new TV roles.

The sisters, who came second in last year’s season of The Block, are rumoured to be keen to be cast in Channel Nine’s popular show Travel Guides.

As a source that spoke to New idea claimed on Monday that Eliza and Liberty are considered Nine’s “golden girls” at the network and would be the right match for the travel show.

‘They really have the right ‘vibe’ for travel guides. “It would be really nice to see them and they wouldn’t be afraid to be there,” the source said.

In an Instagram video, the pair said they were overjoyed to travel and meet up with their former Block colleagues Steph and Gian, who won the 2023 season and took home $1.65 million in winnings plus $100,000 in prize money.

“It’s clear that the bigwigs at Nine are convinced they’ve struck gold in terms of talent with the lovable Australian sisters,” the insider added.

Eliza and Liberty remain Nine’s favourite talents, regularly appearing on the network’s Do You Want To Live Forever?

They will also return to The Block this year as part of the ‘all stars’ team that will help the 2024 Blockheads.

Their ties to Nine predate their appearance on the popular renovation series, with Eliza once working as an assistant to Hamish Blake and Andy Lee when the comedy duo were at the network.
