The Block winner Omar is brother of viral footy star Zakir Slaimankhel kicked off Qantas Bali flight

The Block winner and overnight millionaire Omar Slaimankhel is the older brother of the footy star who was kicked off a Qantas flight from Bali last month after a collision with flight attendants.
Omar Slaimankhel and Oz Malik were crowned winners on Sunday evening in the latest blood-curdling episode of The Block. They sold their property for a whopping $5,666,666 and took home a record $1.6 million in prize money.
However, Omar isn’t the only Slaimankhel brother to make headlines in recent times – with his younger brother Zakir recently going viral over his fiery exchange with flight attendants who he claimed were rude to his wife.
Zakir posted a photo with his millionaire brother in Melbourne on Sunday as family and friends gathered to celebrate the former NRL star’s huge win.

The Slaimankhel brothers have been making headlines for the past few weeks, but for very different reasons (Zakir is on the left in the photo, Omar is on the right)
Just weeks earlier, Zakir found himself in hot water after a video demanding that airline staff apologize to his wife went viral on TikTok.
The 27-year-old accused hostesses of being “very rude” and “condescending” to his family after boarding a Qantas flight from Bali to Sydney last month.
He claimed that an unidentified staff member said his wife called her hijab a “main thing” while changing their son’s diaper, saying she “prevented the bathroom doors from opening safely” while standing in line.
The situation escalated when police escorted the family off the plane before departure, with Qantas forbidding them to ever fly the airline again.
In a statement to the Daily Mail Australia, the airline claimed the couple had been kicked off the plane for swearing and being ‘verbally abusive’ to staff.
“Our staff also denies making inappropriate comments about the passenger’s clothing,” a Qantas spokeswoman said.
“This is supported by other passengers who witnessed the interactions.”
In now viral footage of the tense altercation captured by a passenger on the flight to Sydney, Mr Slaimankhel is heard demanding apologies from flight attendants.

Zakir accused hostesses of being “very rude” and “condescending” to his family after they boarded a Qantas flight from Bali to Sydney last month.
“Tell them to apologize. I’m telling you now you’re being rude, and it’s fucking disgusting,” he told a flight attendant.
“They made her cry, and she’s crying because they were rude to her with a newborn baby, sorry,” the man said.
“You get mad at my wife because they both (their children) have double teeth. Tell them to apologize now. It’s so disgusting what they did to her.’
Zakir’s brother Omar walked away from The Block as a millionaire on Sunday after his house was sold to IT entrepreneur Danny Wallis for a dazzling $5,666,666.
His win sparked controversy, however, with some accusing another man at the auction of being a “dummy bidder” driving up the price of the house.
The bidder, Adrian Portelli, arrived in a flashy yellow Lamborghini and was captured by high-fing Omar and Oz, as well as winning auctioneer Tom Panos.
The contestants dismissed a dummy bidder’s claims as ‘disappointing’.

“It’s a shame Oz and I are doing so well and we’re here justifying our win a day after the auction, that’s all I’m worried about – that a lot of people out there will hate, but that’s what happens.” Omar told Daily Mail Australia on Monday.
He rejected claims that the pair were close friends with Portelli beforehand and he purposely opened the offer at $4.5 million, well above the reserve price.
“Oz and I have had quite a bit of contact with our agents and they said we should contact all of our networks to see who might be able to come to the house and look at it,” he explained.
“We reached out to a mutual friend (Portelli) who said he might be excited. He’s seen the show. He saw our house and he absolutely loved it when he came to see it a few weeks ago.’
Omar told Daily Mail Australia on Monday that he was ‘disappointed’ that viewers would accuse him and Oz of bringing in a ‘dummy bidder’ and revealed the truth behind the couple’s history with Portelli
Portelli has also hit back at claims that he was a ‘dummy bidder’, insisting that he was a ‘real buyer’.
“For anyone who doubted the legitimacy of the auction, I was a real buyer with the intention of buying that property,” he wrote on Instagram.
“No one is responsible for what happened. It’s an auction. Believe it or not, but when you have two people who really want the property, a bidding war starts.’
He continued, “I’m happy to show my bank account to anyone who suggests these were fake bids.”
