The Block star Ryan Carr gallantly rescues wife Rachel from a downpour of hail stones

Married reality stars Ryan and Rachel Carr had a less than glamorous time on Derby Day in Melbourne on Tuesday.

The Block stars were caught in a downpour at Flemington Racecourse during the Melbourne Cup Carnival.

Rachel, 36, screamed as she was pelted with hailstones, which landed on her bare shoulders.

She started screaming, ‘It’s hail! It’s hail!’, to onlookers as ice cubes bounced off her black hat.

Ryan, also 36, noticed the commotion and immediately took off his coat to give to his wife.

He covered her shoulders as she huddled under, and seemed stunned by the change in the weather.

Ryan noticed the commotion and immediately took off his coat to give to his wife

Rachel looked stunning in a bright yellow dress that sat close to her figure with a large floral detail at the bust.

Ryan was wearing a neat navy suit, the jacket of which he had taken off to save his wife.

It comes after Blockhead revealed to Rachel that she fears she won’t make a profit on her renovated property.

He covered her shoulders as she crouched underneath and seemed bewildered at the turn in the weather

She started yelling at the onlookers, “It’s hail!” as ice cubes bounced off her black hat.

Rachel is said to be concerned that plummeting house prices across Australia will affect sales of the property she and her husband Ryan have renovated.

“We’d be angry if we walked away with nothing. The auction is the pinnacle of The Block,” Rachel said women’s Day on Monday.

Rachel added that her stint with Ryan on The Block had been the “hardest slog of their lives” and she hoped to end on a good note.
