Omar and Oz of The Block were roasted Monday by judges Shaynna Blaze and Neale Whittaker after their ‘genius’ design hack to hide an ugly water tank fell flat.
Best friends from western Sydney, both 30, wanted to hide their home’s imposing water tank from view, so they covered it up with a scenic shot of a rural landscape.
Host Scott Cam praised their idea as “genius” last week, but unfortunately the judges weren’t so thrilled.

A stunned Shaynna Blaze bluntly told the couple it “looks stupid and tacky.”
Neale Whittaker also didn’t mince his words, adding: ‘It doesn’t work. Get rid of it’.
Despite previously praising the move, Scott told Omar and Oz that the judges thought their solution was “kitsch and totally wrong.”

Thankfully, the judges didn’t penalize the pair too harshly for it, with Omar and Oz’s renovation work coming in a close second to Tom and Sarah-Jane’s.
It comes after Scott offered a fawning apology to Omar and Oz last week when the boys were forced to present an unfinished room.
The pair were furious earlier in the episode when they were told the builders couldn’t finish their shed roof due to the wet weather.

“We are the only participants in The Block who currently do not have a roof on their shed,” said Omar.
But it wasn’t until the boys stood in front of Scott at Block’s headquarters that they got an apology.
“Personally, I want to apologize to Omar and Oz on behalf of The Block,” Scott began.
“The rain we’ve had over the past month has prevented us from finishing your shed – and therefore unable to finish your room. So for that we say sorry.’
