The Block judge Neale Whitaker REMOVES brutal spray at show producers after his emotional farewell speech was cut from the premiere
The Block judge Neale Whitaker has deleted a social media post berating producers for editing footage of his farewell speech at last Sunday’s premiere.
During the scene, the 61-year-old revealed to co-hosts Shaynna Blaze and Darren Palmer that he would be cutting back on his judging weeks, but his explanation of why he stepped away was never aired.
Neale subsequently came out to The Block editors for the “frustrating” and “inexplicable decision” not to include the part where he revealed he was taking time off to care for his partner David – who had health problems.
This post has since been removed from his account, leaving fans to wonder if he was asked to delete it or if he deleted it of his own accord.
Daily Mail Australia has contacted Neale’s management for comment.

The now-deleted message read: “Nothing is more frustrating than an inexplicable decision or an incomplete story, especially when it comes to health and family.”
“Here’s what aired tonight on the first episode of The Block’s 19th season, my 17th. I told Shaynna and Darren that I wouldn’t be able to be with them every week and explained my reasons. It was an emotional conversation for all of us,” he continued.
“Unfortunately, those important reasons didn’t make it, so here goes,” the interior design expert continued, before explaining that he’d chosen to “put family first.”
During the episode, Whitaker revealed to Shaynna Blaze (left) and Darren Palmer (right) during the episode that he would be cutting back on his judging weeks, but his explanation of why he stepped away was never aired.
“David, my partner for 20 years, has been dealing with serious and ongoing health issues and we knew I was home,” he said.
The interior expert clarified that David has made “great progress” in his recovery and that his “Block family was fully behind his decision to leave.”
He also officially welcomed new judge Marty Fox, a top Melbourne estate agent, who will replace him during his absence this season.
Whitaker clarified in his post that he actually told Blaze and Palmer that he wanted to spend more time with his partner David (left) who had health issues
“Nothing is more frustrating than an inexplicable decision or an incomplete story – especially when it comes to health and family,” the interior design expert wrote on Instagram alongside a clip of the scene
Fans may remember Marty from the show’s 2020 season, when he sold Harry and Tash Pavlou’s beautiful home.
Finally, Whitaker promised fans would see him back to normal on the show in 2024 for The Block’s 20th anniversary season.
Whitaker had previously announced he would be reducing his role on The Block to spend time with David in a similar Instagram post last month.
