The Block insiders have revealed that a huge Sydney star nearly walked away with the keys to House Two for the 2023 season after placing a large bid for it.
Ny Breaking Australia can reveal that PR expert Roxy Jacenko is believed to have been in talks with executive producer and co-creator Julian Cress over a property on Charming Street in Melbourne’s Hampton East.
The 44-year-old socialite had her eye on the renovation that Queensland couple Leah and Ash Milton had carried out after their home was sold at auction.
“These calls started months after the show ended. Even the 2023 contestants didn’t know those conversations were happening,” a source said.
Roxy hasn’t confirmed why she wanted to buy the property, but some are speculating that she plans to follow in the footsteps of Adrian ‘Mr Lambo’ Portelli.
Adrian, 34, now one of Australia’s youngest billionaires, shot to fame in 2022 when he became embroiled in a bidding war with Block veteran Danny Wallis.
Since then, the LMCT+ founder has purchased three homes for the 2023 season and used them as prizes in ticket giveaways sold through his company.
When Roxy was considering purchasing House Two, she was in the process of launching her online marketing course, Roxy’s Bootcamp, which debuted with a mansion giveaway.

“It has not been confirmed whether Roxy did indeed intend to follow Adrian Portelli and auction the property, but it appears that was the intention,” a source said.

Although Roxy did not buy a house in Block last year, an insider revealed that the PR queen definitely wants to make another attempt at the auction in October.
‘[Celebrity] “We used advertising to build excitement and these heavyweights have played a huge part in how the past few seasons have played out,” they said.
‘This year’s location is very attractive to all buyers looking for a holiday destination. And these properties will not only appeal to Melbourne residents.’
