The Block divided: Leah and Ash ‘breakup’ with ‘villains’ Kristy and Brett as feud and bullying scandal with fellow Blockheads Eliza and Liberty heats up
The Bloc’s Leah and Ash have announced that they have ‘broken up’ for good with their besties on the show, Christy and Brett.
Speaking of Women’s Day on Monday, the pair said the split came after they were caught in the middle of an ongoing feud between fellow Blockheads Eliza and Liberty and their former friends.
Leah said she called the couple to make peace with Eliza and Liberty.
She explained that the last straw was Christy’s blow-up during the reveal in the kitchen, when she accused Eliza and Liberty of getting “special treatment” from the producers.
Things came to a head when Leah decided to comfort Eliza and Liberty.

“I went to the girls’ house and Christy started on me,” Leah recalls.
“That was the moment I shone when I thought this is not the way I have my friendships at home.”
“Some of the things they (Christy and Brett) were doing really hurt them (Liberty and Eliza) and I didn’t like that. I couldn’t let it go.
‘If I hadn’t stood up for the girls, what does that say about my friendship with them… I would have stood up for anyone.’
Leah explained that she and Ash now ‘don’t exist’ to their former friends.
The pair began to distance themselves from Christy and Brett and the toxic behavior that fans have found so disturbing in the 2023 series so far this past month.
“Kristy and I only had Block as a talking point — we don’t know each other’s lives — so our conversation was so much about Block,” Lia told nevs.com.
The toxic behavior between the Blockheads has been on Nine so far this season
“At first it was jokes here and there, but as the weeks went by I thought it was getting a bit nasty.”
Sparks flew after a night out went awry, with Leah reportedly ditching former pal Christy in favor of fellow Blockheads Eliza and Liberty.
She said Christie and Brett then launched a conspiracy theory which accused the sisters of being “set up” by Channel Nine – and given special treatment.
“It was time to step back and look at what role we played in all of this,” she said.
