Fiona Falkiner has opened up about the sweet way she started her romance with her sports presenter wife Hayley Willis.
The Biggest Loser veteran, 41, revealed their relationship started over social media in early 2018, when Hayley, 34, messaged her out of the blue on Instagram.
“I had a few drinks, a bit of liquid courage, and messaged her and said, ‘What are my chances of ever taking you out for a drink?'” Hayley said. 9Honey.
“I thought it was quite cheeky to just ask Word Dot out on a date,” Fiona added.
‘She told me later, “I just want you to know I wasn’t a fan of yours or anything like that.”
After messaging each other for several months, they finally met in person in October 2018 and knew things were getting serious.
“We were literally inseparable all summer and spent every moment together. I started thinking, “You know what? I want this for the rest of my life,” Hayley added.
The pair got engaged after just seven months of dating in 2019, when Hayley popped the question while on holiday in Vanuatu.

The romantic proposal took place at sunset on a private beach at the Moso resort, with Hayley presenting her partner with a diamond ring.
“She asked and I said yes!” Fiona wrote on Instagram, alongside a photo of herself showing off her new engagement ring.
Hayley also shared photos from the proposal and paid tribute to her new fiancé.
‘15.4.19 I asked, and you said yes!’ she wrote. “I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with you, Fee.”

In 2020, Fiona announced the couple were expecting their first child, sharing a photo on Instagram of Hayley cradling her bump, and in May 2021 they welcomed son Hunter.
They postponed their wedding due to Covid restrictions and welcomed their second child this year before walking down the aisle in November 2022.
Fiona and Hayley welcomed Spencer on August 1, but only announced their son’s arrival on social media a week later.
Fiona then said they continued to message each other for several months and when they finally met in October 2018, they knew things were getting serious.
