The Barbarian is by far the toughest class Diablo 4, considerably more difficult than the Sorcerer or the Rogue. With passives boosting its overall health and recovery capabilities, the Barbarian can take on almost any boss. They are a valuable asset for players looking to clear tougher content, as they are capable of dealing damage and even stun enemies with certain abilities.
While the Barbarian is extremely sturdy, its damage potential is seriously lacking in comparison. While it can deliver grueling debuffs to enemies, you won’t find yourself taking down a slew of enemies as quickly as the Sorcerer (unless you opt for hyper-specific builds). Running a barbarian requires a lot of investment in legendary items and aspects to make it shine.

How to make a great Barbarian build in Diablo 4
Like other classes, Barbarian has the ability to create enemies Vulnerable – meaning you deal 20% more damage to that enemy. The Barbarian can also inflict Bleed, which functions similarly to the Rogue’s venom as a form of damage over time. The Barbarian is also capable of it Astonishing enemies if you choose specific paths through his skill tree. All in all, it’s a class more or less focused on debuffs and soaking damage to do it back Thorns.
However, this class is almost as agile as the Rogue. Players will want to invest at least one skill point in Leap since you can actually jump over or over terrain that you can’t with the other classes. It’s also generally great as a traversal tool or to avoid damage from bosses’ area effect abilities.
You can further enhance the power of your abilities through the use of aspects, passive abilities found on gear that you can remove and reapply to better gear. Here’s how that process works.
In addition, the Barbarian can provide support to party members through the rally cry ability, which increases movement speed and resource regeneration while active. This makes the Barbarian feel more or less like a real prop, or something like that crusader in Diablo 3. This isn’t necessarily a bad thing, but instead makes for a very specific type of play that encourages grouping with other players.
The Barbarian has a large number of glyphs to consider when choosing weapons. In addition, certain Glyphs work well with damage over time that focuses on bleeding, this includes the Blood Feed Glyph or the Legendary Blood Rage Glyph. However, you’ll need to read each glyph carefully before deciding what to select, as much of it is dictated by whether or not you want to use Axes, Maces, or even both. Your rare glyphs are just as valuable as legendary glyphs in the case of the Barbarian, so you’ll want to plan accordingly and build around what you’ve chosen so far when reading the legendary nodes.
