Bear star Ayo Edebiri has claimed she was grounded by her parents for having Matthew MacFayden as her screensaver.
The 28-year-old, who plays Sydney Adamu in the hit drama streaming on Disney+, made the admission after taking home the Emmy for Supporting Actress in a Comedy last week.
In a TikTok video posted by Entertainment tonightAyo could be seen laughing backstage with MacFayden (who also took home an Emmy for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama) during the awards ceremony.
She told him she had been ‘grounded’ because she had a photo of him as Mr Darcy in 2005’s Pride and Prejudice as a screensaver on her laptop.
“My dad said, ‘Who is this guy? Who is this guy in the coat? With the nice hair?'” she said in the clip.

Later, when MacFayden was asked what he thought of Ayo’s punishment, the Succession star joked “good parenting.” It’s good parenting.’
It comes as The Bear was renewed for a third season late last year.
In addition to Edebiri, the hit comedy-drama series also stars Jeremy Allen White and Ebon Moss-Bachrach.

The critically acclaimed show, which returns in 2024, garnered 13 Emmy nominations for its first season and 10 wins, including Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series for White.
The series centers on Jeremy’s character Carmen “Carmy” Berzatto, a chef who inherits his family’s sandwich shop.
Carmy, an award-winning chef, inherited the Italian beef sandwich shop in Chicago after his brother died by suicide.
It comes as The Bear was renewed for a third season late last year. In addition to Edebiri, the popular comedy-drama series also stars Jeremy Allen White (pictured right) and Ebon Moss-Bachrach
He previously worked as a chef at a Michelin-starred restaurant, but returns to Chicago to take over the shop and the baggage that comes with it, including debt, as he also deals with his own trauma.
Season two will be released on Disney+ in 2023 with a ten-episode series.
The series was created by Christopher Storer, who also serves as executive producer, along with Joanna Calo, Josh Senior, Hiro Murai, Nate Matteson and Matty Matheson.
