While The bear Season 3 doesn’t have a specific release date, but we do know what month it will land. The bear Season 3 is returning this June on Hulu, and there’s ‘no doubt’ you’ll be able to stream all the episodes on day one. After getting the green light from FX (the production company) in November 2023 – and seeing how brilliantly juicy it is, The bear Season 3 is absolutely deserved in our opinion.
So when can we expect to see what the cast and crew have prepared for two of the world’s top streaming services? Luckily, we know that the cast and crew officially started filming at the end of February. Speak with Brit + Co at the 2024 SAG Awards, Matty Matheson, The bear‘s producer and handyman, Neil Fak, said: ‘It’s just heads down, hearts full. We just got back to Chicago, the weather is nice. Big scripts, big scenes, cameras are on and we are ready.”
Seasons 1 and 2 shot in February 2022 and February 2023 respectively, with principal photography on April 28 and March 31. Both seasons also aired in June 2022 and June 2023, meaning there was no significant gap between the end of filming. and new episodes landing in our laps. The bear It looks like season 3 will follow a similar development path, as we can expect it to release in June 2024. Now that the actual date is forthcoming, we will update this section as soon as we know for sure.
The Bear season 3 cast: probable and rumors
Potential spoilers ahead The bear seasons 1 and 2 are coming.
Considering how season 2 ended, we expect the following cast to return The bear season 3:
- Jeremy Allan White as Carmen ‘Carmy’ Berzatto
- Ayo Edebiri as Sydney Adamu
- Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Richard ‘Richie’ Jerimovich
- Abby Elliott as Natalie ‘Sugar’ Berzatto
- Lionel Boyce as Marcus
- Liza Colón-Zayas as Tina
- Matty Matheson as Neil Fak
- Edwin Lee Gibson as Ebraheim
- Oliver Platt as Uncle Jimmy
- Chris Witaske as Pete
The actors mentioned above are mainstays of the show, but there will surely be many more A-listers joining as guest stars in season 3, especially after the The bear This year, he swept the comedy-focused categories at the Primetime Emmys and Golden Globes.
Jamie Lee Curtis, Molly Gordon, Bob Odenkirk, Will Poulter, Olivia Colman, Sarah Paulson, Jon Bernthal and Gillian Jacobs are just some of the big names who have guest-starred in The bear. With Gordon playing Carmy’s love interest Claire (there’s a question mark hanging over their romantic banter, considering how Season 2 ended), Jamie Lee Curtis playing Carmy’s mother Donna, and Jon Bernthal in multiple flashbacks as his late brother Mikey, there are some possibilities for some of these individuals will reprise their roles in the third season.
We’ll have to wait and see if any of the above returns, but we’d love to *ahem* keep our eyes peeled for it in future seasons.
The Bear season 3 plot speculation
The bear The plot of season 3 is currently being kept under lock and key, but we can look at some of the storylines from season 2 to speculate on where the sequel could go.
Major spoilers follow The bear season 2. Return now or continue (using the navigation bar on the left side of the page) if you haven’t watched it all yet.
The season 2 finale saw a triumphant opening night for Carmy’s new restaurant, albeit an emotionally charged event that wasn’t without its problems. There was (eventually) confidence in the kitchen, punters loved the food and characters like Richie, Tina and Sydney were cool, calm and collected. However, in true cliffhanger fashion of the season, there was also more family drama between Carmy and Richie, as well as Carmy and Claire’s relationship hanging by a thread as the former accused the latter of ruining his focus on the restaurant, and other tensions . full of problems – including Pete accidentally revealing Natalie’s pregnancy to Donna – that made for some spicy storylines heading into season 3.
One particular character we learned more about in season 2 was Marcus (Lionel Boyce). The bear delving deeper into his life outside the kitchen, although it mainly focused on his mother’s ill health. As his confidence grew throughout the season – culminating in a visit to Chef Luca (Guardians of the Galaxy 3‘s Will Poulter) in Copenhagen which really got him inspired by new desert ideas – the final episode saw him miss calls from his mother’s carer, which could mean heartache and hardship for Marcus in season 3.
Speak with Deadline in June 2022, Boyce spoke about where he would like Marcus’ arc to go next, saying, “I think what’s interesting for me to explore is just like continuing the journey of pursuing greatness. It’s just a story of passion. All the writers do a great job of crafting specific stories for each character, so I’m curious to see where they’ll take it. But for me, I’d like to explore that.
There’s also the seemingly dormant chemistry between Carmy and Sydney that has viewers wondering. However, Edibiri, who plays Sydney, believes this is not the direction the writers are going The Hollywood Reporter: “It’s really not our thought process in creating the show, and I understand that it can be part of the culture of a show, but I don’t think they’re going to get what they want.”
One Sydney-centric relationship that may be explored more in season 3 is that of her father Emmanuel (Robert Townsend). The season 2 finale revealed that the pair had reconciled somewhat following Emmanuel’s refusal to support Sydney’s desire to become a chef. When asked if she would like to explore that dynamic further, Adebiri responded Deadline at the Emmys: “I like the idea of Sydney finding more confidence and belief in herself, but it’s also fun to play someone who is flawed and a bit of a mess”. Then keep an eye on this space.
As for the fallout from Carmy and Richie’s latest feud, Ebon Moss-Bachrach told Deadline on the Emmys red carpet: “They seem very far removed from the last thing I saw. I really think the ball is in Carmy’s court I think Richie is a very loyal friend and a very resilient soul. Carmy seems more vulnerable and neurotic.
Other Season 3 storylines focus on numerous character relationships, including the fallout from Carmy’s relationship with Claire, the ongoing battle for The Bear’s success (now that it has officially opened), and Uncle Jimmy’s massive loan that still needs to be repaid.
Speak with Digital spyIt seems like Moss-Bachrach is hoping for solutions to some of those stories, with a particular emphasis on The Bear becoming an established restaurant. “I’m curious to see what daily life is like and whether it is sustainable,” he mused. “That would be a third season. In my mind it would be like, ‘Okay, so what does the new one look like?’ Because they don’t really get to see it too much.”
The Bear season 3 trailer: is it here?
There is currently no trailer for it The bear season 3. We’ll update this section as one comes out, in the weeks leading up to season 3’s release date in June.
Where can you watch De Beer?
The bear Seasons 1 and 2 can be streamed on Hulu in the US and Disney Plus in the UK and Australia. Each season was released in its entirety on the day of their release, so they are now available to watch in full.
In our opinion (and in many people’s opinions, actually) it’s one of the best Hulu shows and the best Disney Plus shows out there, so don’t sleep on it.
Will The Bear get a fourth season?
We would be surprised if The bear season 3 is the final entry of the hugely successful culinary show. It’s arguably FX’s biggest TV hit, so unless its quality drops significantly next season, or people stop tuning in, which is highly unlikely given its recent award winners and continued popularity, we’d expect there to be a fourth season to follow.
Our speculation has been pretty much confirmed by Deadline. In a report published in March, multiple sources reportedly confirmed this The bear is “picked up for a fourth season to film back-to-back in Chicago.” We’ll have to wait for official word from FX before we can be sure.
Like we said, season 2 set The bear – the restaurant, not the show – on the gastronomic menu. Season 3, then, should explore whether Carmy and company can compete to the top and cement the titular eatery as one of the best dining experiences around. If they do, there may not be much more story or character development to discuss in later seasons.
And hey, even if The bear ends with season 3, it might be best to go out on a high. Ted Lasso was only on Apple TV Plus for three seasons, and look how good this beloved and multi-award-winning football comedy-drama is. TV shows don’t have to run until they’re, well, into the ground, so if The bear Season 3 brings the series to a fitting end, we’d be much happier seeing a pleasant conclusion to a great TV show, rather than watching it suffer as it tries to stay relevant in the increasingly competitive TV world room.
