The background on Trump’s iPhone is what you may have expected

Donald Trump’s cell phone wallpaper is an image of himself.

The big revelation came via online sleuths who examined two separate photos shared on social media of the former president and his iPhone on the lock screen.

The background image of the former president is from July 19, 2019, when he was still in office.

Photographer Chip Somodevilla’s Getty Image shot shows Trump staring into the camera and pointing directly at the camera.

The photo was captured during a departure from the South Lawn of the White House as Trump traveled to New Jersey for a fundraising dinner at his golf club in Bedminster.

An image posted by Aaron Steinberg, known as Steiny to the YouTube group the Nelk Boys, shows Trump’s iPhone face up on a table as he posed with the trio.

Trump signed Make America Great Again hats for the YouTube group as they joined him aboard Trump Force One for a video on the 2024 candidate’s plane.

In addition, on October 5, Senator Eric Schmitt (R-Mo.) posted a photo with Trump on his Facebook page, which also shows the background of Trump’s cell phone.

The senator, who is running for re-election, traveled with the former president to Butler, Pennsylvania for his return following the assassination attempt on his life at the same location just two and a half months earlier.

Schmitt would be on Trump’s shortlist for attorney general if he gets a second term.

Zooming in on Trump’s phone on the table of his campaign plane, it becomes clear that the former president has the image of himself as the wallpaper on at least one of his mobile devices.

Some of the earlier videos and images are harder to make out, but now that the two clearer images have been posted, it has become clear that the image used is Trump’s image from 2019.

In a video of him playing golf in late 2023, his phone screen is clearly visible with the aforementioned shot from his time in the Oval Office.
