The Bachelor’s Matt Agnew Claims He’s Just ‘Friends’ With Croissant Queen Kate Reid After Sparking Romance Rumors
Former Bachelor star Dr. Matt Agnew has shut down rumors that he is dating Kate Reid.
The 35-year-old astrophysicist shared a photo on Instagram on Saturday of him and the croissant queen at the Formula One racing event in Melbourne.
Matt referred to Kate as his ‘friend’ by captioning the post: ‘Get yourself a friend who can explain F1 to you’.
In the photo, the reality star couldn’t wipe the smile off her face as she posed alongside Kate, known as the ‘croissant queen’ thanks to the popularity of her Lune bakery.
The post comes after the couple sparked romance rumors after they stepped out at the Glamor on the Grid event in Melbourne on Wednesday night.

Matt looked stylish in a black suit, while Kate, who is a former F1 engineer, stunned in a sparkly maxi dress with a thigh-high slit.
Kate is the owner of Melbourne’s famous croissanterie Lune.
His French pastries, made daily at his bakery on Collins Street, were once described by The New York Times as the best in the world.
The speculation comes after the data scientist was rumored to be dating former MasterChef star Khanh Ong.

The couple’s close friendship, which includes “date nights” and holding hands, is often mistaken for a romantic relationship, even though Dr. Agnew is not gay.
Matt said on the Feast podcast last month that he and Khanh want to normalize platonic male affection.
“It’s the lack of affection that straight men show other men that people assume there must be something sexual there,” he said.

‘Be affectionate and tactful with your friends, and the boys especially need to do more of this. Everyone should be comfortable enough with their sexuality not to feel uncomfortable showing affection, male or female.’
Matt went on to say that he enjoyed hugging Khanh when they were both single and in need of company.
Matt first rose to fame on The Bachelor Australia in 2019 and chose Chelsie McLeod as his winner.
But the couple broke up after just two months together.
