The Bachelor’s Laura Byrne shares her VERY controversial opinion on what the best Christmas chocolate is and it divides the nation
Laura Byrne sparked a heated debate on Monday evening.
The Bachelor star debated what the best Christmas chocolate is on her Instagram Stories and shared a video of a Ferrero Rocher gift box.
Within the mixed collection of the brand’s greatest hits are the classic hazelnut version, the white chocolate and coconut Raffaello and the dark choc Rondnoir.
“The white Raffaello is the best,” the radio star emphasizes in her video, adding that the hazelnut is “delicious,” but the dark chocolate version is “a bit crappy.”
Laura then invited her followers to vote on which one is the best of the three, with the votes split.
The Ferrero Rocher gift box is an essential Christmas product and is usually available at popular supermarkets around Christmas.

Late Monday evening the vote was 54 percent preferring the classic milk hazelnut, 38 percent liked the white and only 9 percent chose the dark.
It comes after Laura and her husband Matty Johnson hit a huge roadblock during the renovation of their $2.2 million beach house.
The former reality TV stars bought the ‘dilapidated’ coastal property in August, but their renovation process has been anything but smooth so far.
Podcaster Laura took to Instagram this week to discuss the many issues they’ve faced since they started renovating the house, from termites to wood rot and mold.
She posted a behind-the-scenes video showing how they stripped the run-down property down to its last detail and revealed the shocking discoveries they made.
“There was no way to really know what this Reno had in store for us, or how extensive the rebuild would need to be until we started ripping out walls and pulling up the carpet,” she said.
“We’ve encountered termites, white ants, wood rot, fungi and more than a few snakes along the way, but it’s finally taking shape and we’re slowly seeing the light at the end of the tunnel.”
Laura named the house the Chante-Mer (which means ‘Sing the Sea’ in French) and also explained how construction had to be halted for a week so that exterminators could clear the place of pests.

“We had to replace all the walls and internal structures in the kitchen,” she continued.
Despite the challenges, Laura remained positive and shared how they plan to transform the neglected beach house into a luxury three-bedroom, two-bathroom home.
Situated on a cliff top in Ulladulla on the far south coast of NSW, 226km from Sydney, the ancient two-storey homestead offers fantastic water views.
The house last changed hands in 1984 for just $62,500, and Laura and Matty spent $2.19 million on its purchase in August.
The location has special meaning for the happy couple, who tied the knot in 2022 at Cupitts Estate Winery, close to their new holiday home.
The house sits on 746 sqm overlooking Racecourse Beach and was previously owned by United Nations Simultaneous Conference Translator Valerie Barnes, who died in 2021 aged 94.
Last month, the couple caused a stir on social media after unveiling a controversial design choice for their renovation.
The pair announced their bold decision to turn their seaside retreat into a ‘bathless’ zone, sparking a heated debate among followers.

Matty took to Instagram to reveal the news, captioning a video of the bathroom work in progress with: ‘Don’t come for us but this is going to be a house without a bath.’
The short clip showed the partially renovated bathroom, where the walls were clad in a unique mix of beige and cream vertical striped tiles, giving an earthy feel to the space.
Despite the couple’s excitement, their unique tile choice and lack of a bathtub wasn’t well received by everyone.
“Damn, that’s the most awful tile combination I’ve ever seen,” one user bluntly commented, adding, “but not my bathroom so good luck as long as you love it.”
Others expressed concerns about the practicality of going bathless, especially in young children.
One parent commented: ‘Kids can just sit in the shower. Mine do that most nights.”
However, one person admitted they regretted installing a bathtub in their own home, saying it is now used more as storage than anything else.
And another said approvingly of their bold tile choice: ‘Arrrr, the stripes look so good.’
The former reality TV stars snapped up the ‘derelict’ seaside property in August, but Laura took to Instagram this week to share the many renovation issues she has faced so far.
She posted a behind-the-scenes video showing how they stripped the dilapidated property to its bare bones, revealing the shocking discoveries they found – from termites to mold.
Laura and Matt would work with various brands to ‘sponsor’ the major renovations of the property.
The couple plans to completely renovate the “old beauty” to the old standard, but will, according to the home’s Instagram bio, “resist the millennial urge to paint everything white.”
Laura and Matt have already shared photos of their daughters Marlie-Mae, five, and Lola, three, visiting their future ‘dream home’.
The reality TV stars currently live in a four-bedroom semi in North Bondi, which they bought for $5.2 million in 2023.
They also own a beautiful $1.8 million holiday home in Bangalow, near Byron Bay.
After getting engaged in Fiji in April 2018, Laura and Matty eventually tied the knot on the south coast in November 2022, five years after meeting on The Bachelor.
They are one of the most successful couples to emerge from the show, welcoming their daughter Marlie-Mae in 2019, followed by Lola in February 2021.
