The Bachelorette’s Angie Kent reveals heartbreaking news as her beloved dad undergoes chemotherapy: ‘I took things for granted’
The Bachelorette star Angie Kent revealed to her fans on Sunday that her father Markos is currently undergoing chemotherapy for blood cancer.
The former reality star, 33, shared the heartbreaking news on Instagram by posting a short video of a gloomy-looking Markos hooked up to an IV tube at a hospital.
Angie captioned the images with some heartbreaking words: “I took things for granted. My dad has started his chemo journey for blood cancer.
“We play the waiting game for a bone marrow donor so he can get his transplant. No matches have been found yet.
“All we have is faith and trust that the universe will redeem. I surrender to the highs and lows.

The Queensland resident then asked her followers to pray for her ailing father.
“I share this not out of compassion, but for the power of collective prayer, for all of our loved ones going through transitions and healing! Thanks for the love.’
Many of Angie’s famous friends were quick to express their support.
“Sending all my love and strength to you and your father,” wrote The Bachelor’s Alex Nation while singer Jack Vidgen wrote, “Thinking of you.”
Angie divorced her ex Carlin Sterritt after dating for eight months, whom she singled out on The Bachelorette in 2020.
She previously claimed that Carlin had wanted her to look “like a Barbie doll,” even saying he refused to adopt an “ugly dog” because it wasn’t “aesthetically pleasing.”

“I’m going to attract people I don’t really like because I don’t like being 100 pounds and drinking too much and looking like a doll all the time,” she said on her Nova podcast.
“I’m going to finish with Carlin, and look how great that went. I don’t want to wear that shit. I want to look like this and attract a very nice person.’
Cutting, she added, “And I’m not insulting him. I’m sure you know he’s a great partner for a Barbie doll…but not for this man.’
