Ayaneo’s newest Windows-based portable is the Ayaneo 3
Ayaneo comes with modular controls, a scoop in the market
The cheapest price is $ 700, and the most expensive is $ 1,800
Ayaneo has postponed a wide range of high -quality handheld gaming devices. Although the Chinese hardware company focused primarily on Android-based portables in 2024, it returns to form the new Windows-based flagship Handheld unveiled for the first time in November.
The Ayaneo 3 is a direct sequel to his Ayaneo 2 which was launched in February 2023 and was released as a rival of the steam deck. Not only upgrade the Ayaneo 3 the specifications, but also adds new functions to improve the game experience.
In terms of specifications, there are two models to choose from. The first is equipped with an AMD Ryzen 7 8840U CPU with eight cores and 16 threads, 3.3 GHz clock speed and an NPU of 16 tops.
The second model contains the AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 CPU with 12 cores and 24 threads, a basic clock speed of 2 GHz and an NPU at 50 tops. The first will be available in every configuration except the 4TB Ram One, while the latter starts at 32 GB instead of 16 GB and from there.
You can also choose between 7-inch LCD and OED displays for each model with different displays. The LCD screen has a refresh rate of 120Hz/60Hz and a maximum of 500 Nits. The OLED has a 144Hz/120Hz/90Hz/60Hz renewed and a maximum of 800 Nits.
Why are modular checks matter
What the Ayaneo 3 really distinguishes from the rest are the modular controls, which are unique for almost any other gaming handheld. Modular controls mean the direction cushion, analog stick and buttons can be physically switched or rotated to give a more customizable experience. This allows you to match controls with controllers such as PlayStation and Xbox or create your own fighting stick for titles such as Street Fighter 6 .
The operating elements themselves are also specially dressed. The joysticks and triggers use Hall-effect sensors with a response time of 4 ms. The triggers also have two modes: linear mode, which gives you 7.5 mm travel distance to make precise analogue input and tactile mode possible, which reduces the journey to 3 mm for the repeated button prints known in FPS games.
You can currently support the Ayaneo 3 in its crowdfunding Campaign on IndieGogo . The price varies from $ 700 for the 16 GB/512 GB model without a complete set of input modules and $ 1,800 for the 64 GB/4TB with a full set. An extra set takes $ 100, while a back -up storage case – in starry sky, sky white and retro power – costs $ 33.
Although the top prices are a dazzling quantity (and the lowest amount is still nothing to sneeze), it is intended as a premium portable system with unique functions. The sales argument is that his competition, such as the Steam Deck or Lenovo Legion Go, cannot match it in that sense. And if the Ayaneo 3 finds its foot, he can cure a whole new niche in the gaming handheld market.
