Apprentice contestant Navid Sole has compared living in the show’s luxurious £17 million mansion to being in prison.

The 27-year-old, who competed in the series last year, admitted that the seemingly luxurious residence is far from luxurious living and felt it was more like “boot camp.”

speaking to SunNavid said that many of the home’s amenities were not working and the contestants were forced to sleep in small, uncomfortable beds.

He said, ‘It’s a multi-million dollar mansion, but half the amenities weren’t working and they wouldn’t fix them, it’s like what the hell?

“The lighting was horrible, some lights wouldn’t even turn on or off and there was a sauna and steam room that were broken.”

The BBC reportedly spends £100,000 a month to house contestants at the payout which is located on The Bishop’s Avenue, known as Billionaire’s Row, in Hampstead, North London.

Speaking about the less than stellar sleeping conditions, Navid added: ‘I’m pretty tall at 6ft, and the beds are tiny. I’m the type of person who needs four pillows and two duvets. I felt like I was in a boot camp.

Navid said the contestants endured strict living conditions while on the show, including 4 a.m. wake-up calls and only having 20 minutes to prepare.

The hopeful also said that contestants are only allowed one five-minute phone call per week with their families, while a chaperone stands nearby with a timer to make sure no one goes over their time.

A spokesperson for the show told the publication: ‘The duty of care for our candidates is of the utmost importance to us.

“We take the well-being of everyone involved with The Apprentice very seriously and have extensive and robust measures in place to ensure that everyone feels supported.

“We have a dedicated wellness team that is there to support candidates through the process.”

He said, ‘It’s a multi-million dollar mansion, but half the amenities weren’t working and they wouldn’t fix them, it’s like what the hell?’

Navid was eliminated in week three of last year’s show and later appeared on Celebs Go Dating.

He recently insisted that he is proud to be a virgin and also said that he had never dated before.

He said: ‘I just have to accept it until I find the right person because the thing with me is that I’m not a jerk, I just want to make sure that I give my body to the right person that I love. that I really care.

Navid added that he would never go to a nightclub for the sole purpose of trying to find someone to sleep with, saying he wants the moment he loses his virginity to be “memorable”.

Navid added: “The lighting was awful, some lights wouldn’t even turn on or off and there was a sauna and steam room that were broken.”
