Apprentice fans were left cringing on Thursday after a candidate made a boardroom blunder.
Dr. Asif Munaf, 34, from Sheffield, risked the wrath of Lord Sugar when he accidentally miscalculated the winnings from his first task, leading to a premature celebration.
The first episode saw the boys’ team and girls’ team head to the Scottish Highlands to organize a getaway, competing to see who would walk away with the most profit after their expenses and, crucially, all customer refunds were processed.
Announcing the results, assistant Tim Campbell revealed that the boys’ team clients had asked for a whopping 52 percent refund, after which Dr. Asif started clapping.
Heads turned and there were audible gasps as Karren Brady scowled as his teammates asked, “What are you doing?” to which Dr Asif incorrectly replied: ‘Well, he’s talking about a profit of £300’.
Apprentice fans were left cringing on Thursday after a candidate made a boardroom blunder, with Dr. Asif Munaf accidentally misjudged the winnings on his first task.
The actions of Dr. Asif were met with a stern scowl from Karren Brady, who appeared unimpressed after interrupting business magnate Tim Campbell who was speaking to the candidates.
He was quickly shut down by his teammates who said, “Why didn’t you let Tim finish?” before it was revealed that they had actually lost the challenge.

“I was going to do a tweet at one point tonight saying ‘I miss The Traitors’ but seeing this damn Guess Who character prematurely applaud his supposed win is one of my TV moments of the year” .
‘I honestly would have fired him on the spot for that alone! Me and my husband named him Clappy’; “The looks should have turned him to stone!”
‘My soul would have left my body and gone down to hell’.; ‘Oh my word! Just as well, the delightful but wry Claude Littner was not there! He would have eaten Asif alive!!!’
‘Nicolas Cage in his finest role…’; “He looks like AI Nic Cage and it’s scary.”
Despite the girls winning, Lord Sugar was unimpressed with the efforts of both teams. He said the useless display of the candidates is the reason why he is not overseeing the tasks himself.
The billionaire noted that seeing the mistakes of the pressured contestants was like “watching your mother-in-law drive your Ferrari over a cliff.”

However, assistant Karren Brady previously said that seeing mistakes in the candidates is one of the reasons why viewers enjoy watching the show — and even teach entrepreneurs what to avoid when running their own businesses.
She said: ‘There is no script in this show and everything that unfolds, unfolds, it’s authentic, it’s real.
“A lot of people watch this show to see what they should and shouldn’t do in business. As it unfolds, the viewers see it… there are no retakes.”
Once Lord Sugar picks the weak from the strong participants, they begin to prosper and eventually put money in the bank.
Karren revealed that this year’s crop delivers the ‘biggest win in terms of value’ as they manage to impress the boss, who is giving away £250,000 of his own money to the winner.
She said, “I’m talking millions… so some of them really rise to the top.”
