The Apprentice star Thomas Skinner announces the birth of twin daughters
Apprenticeship candidate Thomas Skinner announced the arrival of his twin daughters with wife Sinead earlier this month.
However, the reality personality, 32, explained how it was not an uncomplicated birth, explaining how his wife shockingly “almost died” in childbirth and was forced to have a caesarean section.
Thomas missed the arrival of the two babies due to work commitments in the US and recalled getting a frantic phone call from his wife telling her she would need a C-section in 24 hours.
After being warned that the lives of his wife and their unborn children were in danger, he made the 5,000 mile journey back to the UK to be with them.
Tom told the Sun: ‘[The doctor] told me “there is a significant risk to your wife’s life and the lives of your twins if we don’t get them out immediately. We need to get these babies out within the next 24 hours – at the latest – but I want to do it now”.

“The doctor told me that on a routine scan they noticed that twin B hadn’t gained weight or grown at all, and that her heart rate was very slow.
He told me “there is a significant risk to your wife’s life and the lives of your twins if we don’t get them out immediately.”
The couple revealed last month that they were expecting identical twins.
They revealed the joyous news on Instagram when they threw a pink-themed gender reveal party two months after announcing they were having twins.
Thomas took to Instagram and posed with his wife, 32, under a pink balloon arch as he placed his hand on her belly.
He wrote: ‘Sinéad’s baby shower- We’re having identical twins. Bosh❤️.”
They celebrated with friends in the garden and ate ice creams with their own ice cream truck.

Thomas couldn’t resist giving his wife a big kiss and a hug as they posed for more photos to show their love.
She looked fabulous in a pink form-fitting midi dress, while he completed her look with a matching top.
In February, he had first announced the happy news by writing, “When 3 become 5,” while holding their son Henry in both arms, who welcomed the couple in 2020.
Sinéad and Thomas have been together for more than five years and tied the knot in May 2022 in a stunning ceremony.
Sinéad wore a form-fitting black ribbed midi dress with matching heeled ankle boots and cradled her stomach with one hand while holding up the scan with the other.
While a beaming Thomas donned dark wash jeans with a black polo shirt and flat cap, holding his son Henry in his arms.
He wrote: ‘When 3 becomes 5!! I want to let everyone know that Sinead & I are expecting identical TWINS!!! Little Henry is going to be a BIG Brother!! Hit the target twice guys!! BOSH ❤️DOUBLE BOSH’❤️❤️.
The couple have been together for over five years, with Sinéad away from the public eye while remaining private on social media.

No doubt she will be hoping for a more relaxed delivery this time, after having a stressful time welcoming Henry to Basildon Hospital.
Because the little one arrived two weeks late, his heart rate dropped more than once during an induced labour, meaning Sinéad couldn’t get the epidural she wanted.
Talk about the experience with OK! at the time she explained, “Yeah, that was it [scary]! And because of Covid-19, Tom couldn’t come and stay with me until I was in the actual delivery room, so I had to spend that first night alone. When I heard that Henry was in distress, I got really scared.”
While Thomas, who described it as ‘it was like watching my favorite pub burn down’, added: ‘It was pretty scary. Sinead called me crying and there was nothing I could do to help. It was the day before the lockdown, I couldn’t even go to the hospital.
“I panicked so much. I kept telling her it would be ok but I was pretty scared. But the team that looked after her, the midwives and the doctors, were fantastic.’
But the family of three made it through time safe and sound and are enjoying parenthood at the time.
The twin news is perfect for Thomas, who previously confirmed he wanted a ‘football team’ of kids as his wife has shared her hopes for a little girl.
Thomas rose to fame after appearing in series 15 in 2019 and reaching week nine of the process despite being on the losing team almost every week of the series.

The businessman has also amassed a large following on Twitter and Instagram – left behind by his large and unusual breakfasts at Dino’s Cafe in New Spitalfields Market.
Among his unusual early morning feasts were a shepherd’s pie, carbonara and a full Christmas dinner.
