“Skye told my PR friend that she couldn’t come to their party because she was going to South Africa to shoot a TV show,” a source revealed on Thursday.

Skye is said to have flown away earlier this week and her partner Lachlan Waugh has also struggled to keep the secret under wraps, telling a cleaner she was abroad.

Since then, Skye has been sharing photos of her soaking up the sun during a “girls trip” by a resort-style pool.

This isn’t the first time Channel 10 has approached the influencer to appear on the series.

In April last year, Skye revealed she had passed a hair-raising audition for the hit reality show.

At the time, she said her audition included having insects dumped over her head while she hung in a cage above a jungle.
