Kmart Australia has sent shoppers racing for a “genius” $39 item that has been dubbed the “best find” of the summer.
Francesca from Queensland spotted a pink striped armchair with a padded seat and back – perfect for the beach, a picnic in the park, by the pool or in the backyard.
Shoppers can ‘sit anywhere’ with this lightweight item, which features multiple adjustable reclining positions for customized comfort and a durable steel frame that can support up to 100kg.
Some pointed out that the bargain was a “dupe” for the popular Sunny Life Luxe folding chair, which costs $139.99.
Key features of Kmart’s recliner include its carry handle, which makes it easy to carry, and its design that allows it to be stored completely flat.
“I just came across Kmart and I found something that you will all love because I love it. I’m a beach girl and if you’re a beach girl, you’re going to love this,” Francesca said in her voice. video.
‘It’s probably more used for the beach, but could also be used for a picnic. Think outside the box, I’m here for it and I love it. You’ll become obsessed.’
Francesca said what she liked most about the armchair is that it feels like a “little sofa, chair and bed” in one.

Demonstrating how the recliner works, she explained, “Basically it folds up and becomes flat. It offers a lot of back support.
‘The best part is that you can wear it. I think that’s great.’
She added: ‘It’s Kmart’s best find.’
Her video has been viewed more than 360,000 times, with many saying they love this beach essential.
“I have two…absolutely 100 percent the best, so retro and puts you in the best position,” one revealed.
‘I keep mine in my trunk and it’s the best Kmart purchase I’ve ever had. I use it in the park, at the beach and even on my break at work when it’s a nice day outside,” said another.
‘These have been at Kmart for a few years. I’ve had mine for a while. They are amazing,” one person shared.
