The $22 item from Kmart Australia that’s a ‘dupe’ of popular brand costing $120: ‘Wow I need this’

Kmart Australia has released a fashion shirt similar to styles retailing for $120.

The short-sleeved V-neck top with bow front was compared to the Dissh Emelia White Linen Wrap Shirt, which costs $119.99.

One shopper behind the popular page Kmart Insider saw the ‘dupe’ and raved about it online.

“Kmart is preparing us for resort life with this new linen-blend top that looks just like Dissh!” the Instagram caption read.

Both short sleeve shirts have a tie closure at the front, a dropped shoulder strap and a V-neck that are perfect for wearing to the office or to the beach.

However, the Dishh version is made from 100 percent linen, while the Kmart alternative is made from a blend of linen and viscose.

The relaxed fit is stylish, trendy and can be worn both chic and casual depending on the occasion.

The Kmart top is also so popular it’s sold out online.

The ‘cute’ Kmart version is ideal for those on a budget and has been praised by many online.

“I need this!” one commented.

“I’m running to Kmart!” said another.

“Omg what a beautiful top,” a third added.

“I’m definitely going to look for this next time I’m at the store,” someone else said.

Last month, a Kmart bag flew off the shelves after shoppers discovered the bargain accessory was an affordable ‘dupe’ for a popular travel purchase.

The PU Weekender Bag ($49) is compared to the Metro Weekender ($440) from travel brand Monos.

Both bags feature a hidden compartment at the bottom, so you can store dirty laundry, shoes and even wet clothes.

The cheaper bag is available in polyurethane, while the more expensive version is available in multiple materials, including vegan leather and nylon.

“It’s the perfect travel bag,” said one five-star reviewer. ‘I recently used it on a long-haul flight. It sat well on top of the carry-on and contained everything I needed for my two children. Also has enough compartments to keep the small items at hand.’

Another wrote: ‘Great lightweight tote bag that fits everything you need.’

One shopper shared her rave reviews of the Kmart item, claiming it is ‘better’ than the best-selling Weekender bags from famous brand BÉIS, with prices ranging from $98 to $348.

‘Good quality bag for travelling. Flexible so it fits easily under the airplane seat. The bottom part is waterproof,” someone added.

The $49 item, described as the ‘perfect’ travel bag, has received rave reviews on social media, with some customers also sharing its many uses.

“I used it as my hospital baby bag,” one new mom revealed.

“The Kmart weekender bag is the best baby bag for short trips,” says another.

“I use the bottom part of the shoe for diapers, and the top part has a lot of zippers.”

“I have one and it’s perfect for the gym,” said one.

“My kids have these amazing bags for camping,” another added.

‘Shoes and dirty items all fit nicely in the bottom, so everything else stays clean and dry.’

Fashion trends can change in the blink of an eye, and shoppers are struggling to keep up with the latest purchases in the wake of the cost of living.

Frugal shoppers have been looking for affordable alternatives to their favorite brands — and one place they can’t get enough of is Kmart.

The budget retailer is selling ‘dupes’, including a $25 item that resembles a popular $190 ‘dream dress’ from a top Australian brand.

Other popular ‘dupes’ include a $15 Kmart version of a $20,000 Hermes bag that Australian women love, along with a $25 lightweight cardigan that fits into the viral ‘old money’ aesthetic.
