- Joe Biden declined to comment on whether there would be an endorsement from Taylor Swift before the 2024 election
- The president appeared on Seth Meyers’ late night show on Monday, marking its 10th anniversary on the air
Joe Biden jokingly avoided confirming or denying his relationship with Taylor Swift during a Monday night appearance on Late Night With Seth Meyers.
The 81-year-old president joked that a possible endorsement from the world’s most famous singer remains a “secret” matter.
Biden is facing record low approval ratings and is therefore using every tool in his arsenal to reach voters before November.
To that end, there’s a semi-viral online conspiracy theory that the president and his campaign will use the potential endorsements of Swift and her NFL boyfriend Travis Kelce to reach Gen-Zers, NFL fans and everyone in between to influence the election for the Democrats .
Meyers questioned Biden about the conspiracy, saying, “I have you here at the hot spot. Can you confirm or deny that there is an active conspiracy between you and Miss Swift?’

Meyers questioned the president about whether he will receive support from the world’s most popular singer, Taylor Swift, in the coming months.
Biden, wearing his signature pair of Ray Bans, responded: “Where are you getting this information, it’s classified.”
He also pointed out that the country-pop singer supported him earlier in 2020.
When Meyers asked if she planned to endorse him again, he said, “I told you it’s a secret.”

Earlier this month, Biden opted to forego the traditional pre-Super Bowl presidential interview.
The opt-out came as criticism of Biden’s age and mental capabilities grew louder in the wake of dozens of cases of apparent public confusion, verbal errors and a DOJ report that highlighted the older leader’s failing memory.

Biden, at 81 the oldest US leader ever, also expressed concerns about his age, saying: “You look at the other guy, he’s about my age, but he can remember the name of don’t remember his wife. ‘
It was an apparent reference to Donald Trump’s appearance at the Conservative Political Action Conference outside Washington last weekend, when the former president praised his wife Melania and also referred to “Mercedes” – Mercedes Schlapp, his former aide who helps lead the group and in public.
Some on social media, as well as Meyers in his monologue, suggested that Trump had used the wrong name for his wife.
