That helps with the hangover Harry! Invictus Games crowd sings Happy Birthday to Duke after he drank six ‘small’ beers in honor of his 39th birthday in Dusseldorf bar with Meghan
The Invictus Games crowd sang happy birthday to a beaming Prince Harry today as he celebrated his 39th birthday with his wife Meghan Markle at a sporting event in Dusseldorf.
The Duke of Sussex looked refreshed today after a night of revelry drinking German beer and eating traditional food while attending a sitting volleyball match.
Despite the late night out on the town, the birthday boy arrived at the Merkur Spiel-Arena without seeming to be bothered by the strong local beer.
After Harry and Meghan took their seats in the stands, the stadium announcer asked the crowd: “Is there anyone here celebrating their own special occasion today?”
‘Is it someone’s birthday? Oh, I think it’s someone’s birthday. A certain Prince Harry, the Duke of Sussex, 39 years old today. Congratulations! Let’s sing along.’
The crowd joined in with a rendition of the song, as Harry clapped along and smiled alongside the Duchess – before saying ‘thank you’ to the audience.
Harry, accompanied by Meghan and a dozen of his support team, made a secret visit to a popular restaurant in Dusseldorf’s old town last night.
The Duke, who turns 39 today, left behind six glasses of Alt Schumacher beer as he celebrated not only his birthday but also the success so far of the Invictus Games. His group enjoyed local delicacies such as Wiener Schnitzel, sausage and pork shank.
Harry was also presented with white chocolate, which he took to his hotel and shared with his team. Meghan had only had one beer that night.
For her final appearance today, Meghan wore a Zara Celine Blazer jumpsuit and Saint Laurent sandals and had a bag from the Cesta range made in Rwanda.
The couple watched a sitting volleyball match between host country Germany and Poland.
