- Fans can’t get enough of Star’s new Instagram post
Thanasi Kokkinakis is getting rave reviews from tennis fans without hitting a single ball at this year’s Australian Open – and it’s all thanks to the ripped physique he’s honed on the court.
The 27-year-old won’t play his first-round opponent, Austrian Sebastian Ofner, until Tuesday, but he delivered his first ace of the tournament when he posted a selection of photos to Instagram on Sunday evening.
One shot really impressed fans: an image of the Adelaide native lifting his shirt to wipe his face during a recent hit, exposing his washboard abs.
Kokkinakis unleashed a wave of compliments from his Instagram followers when he posted this thirsty shot of his ripped physique before his first match at the Australian Open
The star’s post also included a photo of him with his great friend Nick Kyrgios, with whom he won the 2022 men’s doubles title at Melbourne Park.
The post’s other photos include an image of him on the court with his great friend Nick Kyrgios, plus photos of him serving, collecting a stray tennis ball and relaxing after a match – all accompanied by the caption ‘Lesssgoo’.
Two of the shots show Kokkinakis wearing the logo of one of his sponsors, clothing brand Cotton On.
It didn’t take long for his followers to share their amazement at the star’s good looks.
Comments like “Thanasi Abbinakis,” “Haha my brother bows,” “Excuse me, ahoy!”, “Let it all hang out,” and “The attack is sick” were all over the answers section.
One follower even wrote, “This man has done more for Cottonon than all the sheep that ever lived.”

The 27-year-old will face Austrian Sebastian Ofner in the first round at his home Grand Slam, but has already shared center court with Emma Raducanu this year (pictured)
Kokkinakis appears to be one of the sport’s most eligible bachelors again after splitting from his ex, influencer and fashionista Hannah Dal Sasso.
He has since moved on, appearing on celebrity dating app Raya and being spotted chatting to Melbourne beauty Mary Vitinaros.
Kokkinakis’ current world ranking of 68 is just three lower than the best mark he has ever achieved, despite coming to his home Grand Slam after a less than ideal preparation.
He was eliminated in the first round of his home tournament, the Adelaide International, which he won in 2023.
The star is still searching for his first win of 2024 after an opening round defeat to compatriot Rinky Hijikata at the Brisbane International, and knows he needs to be better at carving out an early advantage.
“It’s a trend in many of my matches: already in the second set my feet stop and I lose my focus,” he said after his loss to Dusan Lajovic in Adelaide.
“That’s honestly my biggest weakness.
‘When I play well, I take my foot off the gas.
“I might take a few shots that aren’t there and lose a little focus.
“It changed the whole momentum of the game.”
