A Texas woman has been charged after allegedly shooting her husband when she discovered him with another woman.
Stephanie Arevalo, 34, was taken into custody by Bryan police after she allegedly shot her husband’s leg after catching him red-handed cheating on her with an unknown woman.
The incident reportedly occurred in the 4500 block of Woodbend Drive, located between Conquest Circle and Creekwood Drive in Bryan.
According to KBTXThe suspect also threatened to shoot the woman she found with her husband, but did not follow through.
The victim, whom officials have not named, was treated for the non-life-threatening injury and released from a nearby hospital.

Police officers later said Arevalo called 911 himself and waited at the scene until they arrived.

She was booked into the Brazos County Sheriff’s Office and charged with aggravated assault/family violence with a deadly weapon.
Arevalo was released from prison two days later.
But Arevalo isn’t the only woman accused of assaulting her cheating husband.
Nicole Denison, a 29-year-old Allegiant Air flight attendant, was shocked when she returned to her home in Safety Harbor, near Tampa, to find her husband “engaged in sexual intercourse” with another woman in July 2020.
Denison allegedly struck her 34-year-old husband “in the left eye, causing a ‘black eye,'” according to police records seen by The smoking gun.
Arevalo also reportedly threatened to shoot the woman she found with her husband, but did not follow through

She and her husband, a bartender and fitness instructor, were married for almost three years.
She also scratched his forehead and left him with a bruise on his right arm.
In her anger, Denison grabbed her husband’s acoustic guitar and smashed it against the wall, “leaving a gaping hole in the wall.”
She was arrested and charged with domestic battery, a misdemeanor, but was released the next day.
A court date for Arevalo has not yet been set.
