Texas woman sparks concern after moving to mysterious ‘Rebuilding Atlantis’ desert community

A woman has left fans concerned after moving to a new ‘Atlantis’ colony in Texas with the promise of living on supposedly free land.

The woman dubbed Visionary Empress on TikTok said last month she moved to the desert in the state’s west after a man advertised free land.

“I live here now,” she said in the October 20 video as she showed the mountainous area. “I’m so grateful to be here.”

She revealed that she would live in a tent and eventually have a garden on the property, owned by a man who is rebuilding Atlantis on the platform.

The landowner said he created his own community because “all the towns I’ve lived in, towns, villages, anywhere in the United States, haven’t been this nice and I think I could build something much better,” he said . in one August video.

A woman who goes by the name Visionary Empress on TikTok announced in late October that she had moved to the West Texas desert after a man who owns 50 acres there advertised letting people live on his land for free

She revealed that she would live in a tent and eventually have a garden on the property, owned by a man who is rebuilding Atlantis on the platform. She also enjoyed her mountain views

As he continues to build his community, he has been given his residents, water, a basin to bathe in, and a working washing machine.

However, residents will need solar panels to get electricity to power their lifestyle.

Many of her followers were quick to say that she would end up in a cult that would one day be made into a Netflix documentary.

“I can’t believe I’m here before Netflix!” wrote one.

“I’ve never seen the prequel to a true crime documentary,” wrote another.

But many were more concerned about her safety, with one writing: ‘I’m scared for you!!!’

“That seems… dangerous? Reckless? Poorly thought out?’ wrote one user.

Many were concerned for her safety before she left Atlantis

“Contact us every now and then… let us know if you’re in trouble,” one person wrote.

Another simply told her, “Nothing is free.”

Although Visionary Empress posted several videos seemingly enjoying her time in Atlantis, including a trip to the US-Mexico border, she announced on Friday that she has left the community.

“Things didn’t work out between Austin and I,” she revealed, referring to another man who lived in the community. “So I’m not going back to Atlantis.”

Her biggest problem with Atlantis, however, was the physical labor.

“There’s just a whole part of living off the grid that requires physical labor that I’m not going to do myself,” she said.
