Texas woman is arrested ‘for trying to drown three year-old Palestinian girl in pool because toddler was Muslim’
A white Texas woman has been arrested after allegedly trying to drown a Palestinian toddler in a community pool after racially assaulting the child’s mother.
Elizabeth Wolf, 42, was charged May 19 by Euless police with attempted murder and injury to a child.
The suspect reportedly approached a Muslim woman wearing a hijab, identified as Mrs. H, at the swimming pool of an apartment complex and began making racist comments.
Officials said Wolf also began demanding where Ms. H’s family was from and whether the two children in the pool were hers.

After a few minutes, the suspect allegedly jumped into the pool and pulled Mrs. H.’s six-year-old son and three-year-old daughter into the deeper part.
‘Wolf tried to grab the six-year-old son (of the mother) but he pulled out of her grasp, causing a scratch on his finger.
‘The mother started to help her son when Wolf grabbed her three-year-old daughter and forced her underwater. The mother was able to pull her daughter out of the water.
“Her daughter had been screaming for help and was coughing up water,” Euless police said said.
The Council on American-Islamic Relations explained that an African American man helped save the young girl from the attacker as more people gathered and witnessed what happened.
CAIR later confirmed that the children are now safe, but severely traumatized.
As Wolf was handcuffed by police, she screamed at a witness who was with Ms. H, “Tell her I will kill her and I will kill her entire family,” the agency said. reported.

Ms. H also told CAIR that Wolf allegedly ripped her hijab off her head and began hitting and kicking her, preventing her from reaching her daughter as the suspect held her head under water.
In a statement, the distressed mother said said: ‘We are American citizens, originally from Palestine, and I don’t know where to go to feel safe with my children. My country is facing a war, and we are facing that hatred here.
‘My daughter is traumatized; every time I open the door of the apartment, she runs away and hides, telling me that she is afraid that the lady will dip her head in the water again.
‘In addition, my husband’s job is at risk because he has to leave work to accompany me and our four children when we have appointments and need to run errands.’
Euless police later said Wolf posted bail from the Tarrant County Jail.
“The bond for the attempted capital murder charge was $25,000. The bond on the charge of injury to a child was $15,000,” Capt. Brenda Alvarado said.
