Texas Republican Tony Gonzales RAGES over ‘scumbags’ in party who ‘paid minors to have sex’ and wore ‘white hoods’ as Republicans tussle over Ukraine aid vote

  • Rep. Tony Gonzales celebrated that Chairman Mike Johnson ignored the “fringe” in the Republican Party by promoting aid to Ukraine
  • He accused Rep. Matt Gaetz of paying minors to have sex with him
  • Gonzales also accused the Republican fringe of wearing ‘white hoods’

Rep. Tony Gonzales labeled some of his Republican colleagues in the House of Representatives as “white hooded assholes” as he directly targeted Rep. in an interview with CNN on Sunday. Matt Gaetz directed.

“It’s an absolute honor to be in Congress, but I serve alongside some real scoundrels,” Gonzales (R-TX) said on CNN’s Face the Nation on Sunday. “Look, Matt Gaetz, he paid minors to have sex with him at drug parties.”

CNN anchor Dana Bash was surprised by the accusation and reminded viewers that Gaetz had not been prosecuted by the allegations.

‘Wow. Okay,” she replied. “I have to say that the federal government has investigated Matt Gaetz and those allegations and has decided not to prosecute.”

Bash meant reports in February 2023 that the Justice Department had decided not to charge Gaetz with an investigation after he had accused to be part of a scheme that led to the sex trafficking of a 17-year-old girl.

Gaetz angered many Republicans after he led the charge to remove former Speaker Kevin McCarthy from office in October, leading to a party-wide collapse as they struggled to name a successor.

Gonzales said Speaker Mike Johnson would survive any threat to oust him, as three Republicans threatened to impeach him after pushing through a vote to send more than $60 billion in aides to Ukraine.

“Look, the House is a rough and noisy place, but Mike Johnson will be fine,” he said.

Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene filed a motion to vacate the chair in March but has made no progress on her plan to remove Johnson as chair. Fellow Republican Reps. Paul Gosar of Arizona and Thomas Massie of Kentucky have expressed support for the effort.

Gonzales also took offense to his fellow Rep. Bob Good (R-VA) for endorsing his primary opponent Brandon Herrera.

“Bob Good supported my opponent, a known neo-Nazi,” he said. ‘These people used to walk around with white hoods at night, now they walk around with white hoods during the day.’

Gonzales referenced a 2022 YouTube video that shows Herrera and a colleague marching around to a German song during a review of a historic MP-40 submachine gun.

Harrerra responded to Gonzales’ accusations on social media.

“This is the death spiral, ladies and gentlemen,” he said wrote, highlighting the moment on CNN. “He has to cry about me to his liberal friends because the Republicans don’t want to listen anymore.”
