Moment pregnant woman lost her baby after being kicked in stomach by driver whose car she accidentally sideswiped
A heavily pregnant Texas woman lost her baby after being kicked multiple times in the stomach by another woman following a minor car accident.
The victim, who was in her second trimester, hit a parking pole and a curb and was forced to sideswipe her car into another when her flip-flop got stuck between the accelerator and brake pedals.
The accident happened on July 27 in front of a corner store on Lockwood Drive in Houston.
‘I got stuck. “I accelerated a little and side-swiped a car behind me,” the unidentified woman said KHOU11.
When the young victim got out of her own car to investigate the damage, she was approached by another woman.

As the victim tried to get her bearings, the other woman reportedly grabbed her bag from a seat in the car and began rummaging through it.
“I thought I might have hit her car because she came from behind me, came over and grabbed my bag from the passenger seat of the car.
“She took out my wallet and she takes out all my credit cards,” she recalled.
When the pregnant woman tried to confront the suspect and take back her bag, she began kicking the victim in the stomach.
Immediately after the first kick, the expectant mother informed the suspect that she was pregnant. But instead of deterring or apologizing, the other lady kicked her again.
“I started crying because when she kicked me the second time it hurt,” she said.
Officials who first arrived on the scene initially refused to believe what had happened, the victim claimed.
After a few minutes of convincing, they watched the surveillance video and realized what had happened.
An ambulance was then called to the scene and she was taken to a hospital in the region.

Multiple ultrasounds showed that the baby, named Nevaeh, had lost his heartbeat and doctors were forced to induce her.
‘I cried a lot in the hospital. It didn’t seem real. I think the hardest part was bringing her into the world naturally.

‘I lay in bed and cried a lot – why did this happen to me? Why did she have to be taken from me?
“I would like to find this lady and bring justice for my daughter,” she said.
Officials are still waiting for an autopsy report to determine if the attack was the official cause of the baby’s death.
The pregnant woman’s car was also towed from the scene and auctioned after 30 days.
An investigation has been launched by Houston Police and anyone with information has been asked to contact police or CrimeStoppers.
