Texas launches billboards asking illegal migrants the most shocking question ever to dissuade crossings

Texas Governor Greg Abbott’s new anti-border crossing campaign uses shocking language to warn illegal migrants that their daughter could be raped if they try to cross the border.

The Lone Star State is launching a deep-rooted billboard campaign in Mexico and Central America to crack down on illegal immigration by highlighting sexual violence and other dangers.

On one of the forty billboards, a shocking question is asked to illegal immigrants in multiple languages: “How much did you pay to have your daughter raped?”

Abbott’s move was made not long after Donald Trump’s “border czar” Tom Homan said the Texas governor had done more to secure the border than any member of the Biden administration.

The campaign will cost $100,000, with Abbott hoping to warn those wanting to cross the border of the costs they will incur.

Another warned that migrants will be arrested if they enter Texas illegally. In addition to Spanish, billboards are produced in Russian, Chinese and Arabic.

Messages on other billboards include: “Many girls who try to migrate to Texas are kidnapped. For the sake of your family, stop.”

Another reads: ‘This fourteen-year-old girl was raped by more than twenty men on her way to the border.’

Another reads: ‘Your wife and daughter will pay for the journey with their bodies.’

“They give potential illegal immigrants considering leaving their home countries — and those already en route — a realistic picture of what will happen to them during their journey or if they enter Texas illegally,” Abbott said.

“Our goal at this point is not just to discourage them from coming, but to help them understand the consequences,” Abbott said.

Abbott held the campaign unveiling in Eagle Pass, next to what was the charred remains of what is known as a “rape tree,” which Abbott claims was used by human traffickers to sexually assault migrants before being burned as a memorial.

“You get terrified when you leave your own home and enjoy your own property,” says rancher Kimberly Wall.

“I know my husband found three different canola trees and burned them down. You don’t know if you’re going to be attacked by one of the men hiding in the bushes. We all want a better life for everyone.

“We don’t want any more canola trees in Texas,” Abbott said, however a 2022 study doubted whether such things exist or not.

The number of migrants caught illegally crossing the U.S.-Mexico border soared to record highs after President Joe Biden took office in 2021, fueling criticism from Abbott and other Republicans.

Trump retook the White House in November, promising mass deportations and aggressive border security efforts.

Biden tightened his border policies earlier this year, leading to a sharp drop in the number of migrants crossing illegally in recent months.

Abbott said the billboard campaign will cost about $100,000 and aims to push back migrants considering crossing the border illegally before Trump takes office on Jan. 20.

“There are a lot of people making a last ditch effort,” Abbott said.

Texas officials said in November that the state would offer 1,400 acres of land near the border to the new Trump administration for its mass deportation initiative.

Last week, Homan unveiled his plans for more than 1,400 acres of land in Texas that the Lonestar State donated to the federal government last month.

In a conversation with Dr. Phil, the talk show host turned advocate for closed borders, Homan said he has devised plans to use the 1,402-acre Starr County ranch that Texas officials acquired in October to fuel construction of a border wall facilitate.

“I’m writing the plan as we speak. I worked on it last night,” Homan, 63, a former Immigration and Customs Enforcement agent, told Dr. Phil on Merit TV.

He then praised Texas Gov. Greg Abbott’s efforts to secure the southern border with Mexico — and said he would use the country as a staging area for migrants before they could be put on deportation flights.

“The 1,400 acres of land, which is keeping us from acquiring the land,” Homan said.

“The government never buys things quickly and when we do, we pay too much for it, so it’s great to have this from the state of Texas.”

State Land Commissioner Dawn Buckingham had suggested last month that the former ranch could be used for such deportation efforts when she announced the state would transfer ownership of the property to the federal government.

“I was brainstorming with my team, and we thought that the Trump administration probably needs some deportation facilities because we have a lot of these violent criminals that we need to round up and get out of our country,” she explained. Fox News.

“We are happy to make this offer and hope they take it up,” she said of the country she said was overrun by drug smuggling and human trafficking.

Trump had tapped Homan to take the lead ‘largest’ deportation of migrants in US history when his government takes over on January 20.

Migrants who committed crimes while in the United States will be the first to be targeted — but Trump’s plans don’t stop there.

As DailyMail.com previously reported, Trump’s team also plans to target legal migrants, including asylum seekers and those who entered the US on humanitarian parole under the Biden administration.

Additionally, the new administration is looking for ways to change who is considered American by ending the birthright right guaranteed by the U.S. Constitution.
