A schoolgirl who shot her father as part of a pre-planned murder pact she made with her boyfriend has died after shooting herself in the head.

A Parker County Sheriff’s Office spokesman said: “The 12-year-old female minor involved in the Northwest Parker County shooting incident on September 20, 2022, died of her injuries on September 22 at a local hospital.

The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office performed an autopsy and assessed the cause of death and mode of death as suicide from a gunshot wound to the head.

Her father, who suffered a gunshot wound to the abdomen and was recently released from hospital, is expected to recover.

“The second 12-year-old woman from Lufkin, who the sheriff’s investigators say was involved in planning the shooting, was taken into custody last week and charged with conspiracy to commit murder.”
