Texas football coach marries his stripper girlfriend named ‘pole assassin’ – whose pet monkey allegedly attacked a child on Halloween

Texas Longhorns special teams coordinator Jeff Banks married his stripper girlfriend Dani Thomas, better known as the Pole Killer, this past weekend.

The wedding came nearly three years after Thomas’ “emotional support monkey” reportedly bit a young child.

However, there was no sign of the primate at the ceremony, which is believed to have taken place in Texas.

“72 incredible hours with our family and closest friends,” Banks captioned a selfie of the newlyweds on the dance floor at the reception.

“We really love you all and are now going on our honeymoon to Barcelona,” he added.

Other University of Texas employees also shared snaps from the big day, including an adorable photo of the couple sharing their first dance.

Although Banks and Thomas have been out of the news since 2021, the couple’s relationship is far from drama-free.

Banks split from his wife Kori, with whom he had daughter Sydnei and sons Gage and Tanner, in late 2017.

In February 2018, he was in a relationship with Thomas.

The adult entertainer, who once appeared in Jerry Springer with her monkey Gia, faced criticism in 2021 after her pet reportedly bit a child in a haunted house she set up in her yard for Halloween.

She angrily denied the claims in a now-deleted Twitter post, per Sports Illustrated.

“I had a haunted house on one side with a gate, he didn’t have permission to go through the gate. I had no idea he had been in my backyard,” she wrote at the time.

According to her Instagram account, Gia regularly performed on stage with ‘Pole Assassin’

“I didn’t know about a bite either! Until a local doctor told me to take a small bite. No parent ever spoke to me about it,” she continued.

“A child of 11/12 should know better than to go into someone’s garden without permission and be old enough to follow the rules too. The rules were that when you get to the gate you turn around and come back for sweets, all the other parents and children did that,” she added.

“People lie so much it’s ridiculous! Stop believing everything you hear! And even more of what you see! SMH!”

Banks, who joined the University of Texas staff in 2021, became the first special teams coordinator to receive a salary of $1 million or more.

His wedding comes on a busy day for the Texas football program, just before the new season

His wedding — and subsequent European honeymoon — comes during a busy time for the Texas football program, which is entering its debut season in the Southeastern Conference (SEC).

The Longhorns finished 12-2 last year with returning Quinn Ewers under center. The Southlake, Texas, native threw 22 touchdown passes and just six interceptions for head coach Steve Sarkisian, who is expected to compete for an SEC crown in his first season since leaving the Big 12.

But it’s the presence of Peyton and Eli Manning’s cousin, backup quarterback Arch, that has made the Longhorns one of the most visible teams in the country in 2024. Arch isn’t expected to start, but Sarkisian has said the highly touted sophomore will take the field in 2024
