Tess Daly happily embraces fake tan in a bid to feel good about herself

Tess Daly is embracing fake tan as she grows older, saying it helps to hide ‘a multitude of sins’.

The television presenter, 53, took to Instagram this week to share some stunning snaps of herself looking bronzed while on a recent holiday in Ibiza.

And she loves getting a spray tan to help her feel good about herself, admitting she’s spoilt when it comes to looking bronzed while hosting Strictly Come Dancing.

She told Health & Wellbeing magazine: ‘Get a fake tan, it sounds shallow, but trust me it hides a multitude of sins.

‘I get a bit spoilt with fake tan when it comes to Strictly, so it’s a bit of a shock when it all wears off [laughs].

‘I wouldn’t go on holiday without one, I’m at an age when I can take all the help I can get. I am absolutely grateful for getting older though.’

Speaking about her much-needed holidays away from her busy work schedule, Tess also admitted that she turns her phone off for three hours at a time when she’s away.

She spoke about juggling her work life and family life as a mother-of-two, saying time away from her job stops it feeling like a chore for her. 

Tess’s husband Vernon Kay took to Instagram last Friday to share some snaps from their recent holiday to Ibiza. 

The presenter, 48, cosied up to the Strictly host, 53, with whom he shares two daughters, as they enjoyed the amazing sunset.

Beaming for the camera Vernon gushed: ‘A beautiful place with awesome people!’.

In the snap the duo appeared to have been surfing as they settle to take in the spectacular views across the calm waters. 

Vernon went topless as his long dark locks were wet from a swim as he cuddled up to his wife of 19 years. 

Tess looked gorgeous as she shielded her eyes behind retro inspired shades while her blonde tresses cascaded to her shoulders.

The beauty accessorised the look with large hoop earring as well as a carefully chosen gold pendant.

Vernon captioned the sweet snap: ‘Superb few days in Ibiza! A beautiful place with awesome people and great vibes’.

Tess and Vernon shared daughters Phoebe, 17, and Amber, 13, together.
