Tesla billionaire Elon Musk only takes 2 or 3 days off a year and gets 6 hours of sleep

Elon Musk’s productivity hack: Tesla billionaire takes only 2 or 3 days off a year, works 7 days a week and gets 6 hours of sleep a night

Controversial Twitter owner Elon Musk claims he’s so productive because he only takes two to three days off a year, works seven days a week, and sleeps just six hours a night.

The CEO of Tesla and Space X told CNBC he works ‘seven days a week’ and ‘in terms of how many days in a year am I not doing a meaningful amount of work? It’s probably about two or three’.

Musk, 51, says he currently gets about six hours of sleep a night.

‘I’ve tried less. Even though I’m awake for more hours, I get less done. And the level of brain pain is bad if I get less than six hours,” he told CNBC’s David Faber on Tuesday.

It comes after DailyMail.com revealed that Musk took time off from the office over the weekend to attend a rave in downtown Los Angeles.

The billionaire also criticized remote work as “morally wrong,” but said he didn’t expect his employees to work as many hours as he did.

Musk said he hated that office workers felt they had a right to work from home when the people who make and deliver their food can’t.

“It’s crazy to assume they have to go to work when you don’t,” he explained.

Adding: ‘It’s not just a matter of productivity. I think it’s morally wrong.’

The Twitter owner compared remote working to Marie Antionette’s “let them eat cake” scenario, saying he thinks the “laptop classes are living in la la land.”

“It’s like you’re actually going to work from home and have everyone else who made your car work at the factory?” said Musk.

“Are you going to make sure the people who make your food that gets delivered can’t work from home? You know, the people who fix your house can’t work from home, but you can? Does that seem morally right? That’s confused.’

When Musk took control of Twitter in October, he quickly caused consternation by lifting staff work-from-home arrangements.

The change, sent in its first company-wide email, said staff would now be required to be in the office more than 40 hours a week.

When Musk took control of Twitter in October, he quickly caused consternation by lifting staff work-from-home arrangements.

That was along with Musk’s demand that Twitter employees commit to working “long hours at high intensity” or leave if they disagree, according to CNBC.

Musk also slashed Twitter staff by eliminating half of its 7,500 global employees.

Some of those suspended criticized the new CEO, Musk admitted.

The tech workers were told by email that they had been “fired with immediate effect” for “violating company policy.”

They reportedly made critical comments about the new CEO on the company’s Slack messaging system, which led to them being fired by the new billionaire boss.

Last summer, Musk pushed for Tesla employees to come back to the office after working remotely during the pandemic.

He gave staff an ultimatum of 40 hours a week in the office or resigned, and the company began tracking staff through their office badges.
