Terrifying scenes as NFL star Tyler Badie collapses on sidelines and is stretchered away in neck brace after smacking head on turf
This is the horrific moment Denver Broncos running back Tyler Badie collapsed on the sideline after hitting his head on the turf at MetLife Stadium.
Slow-motion replays showed Badie landing awkwardly on his head and neck during a play for the Broncos against the Jets before managing to return to the sideline.
Just seconds later, he collapsed to the ground while standing among his teammates, and medics rushed to his aid.
Shortly afterwards, as the second quarter of the game began, Badie had a neck brace strapped on and was taken back to the locker room for further assessment.
He was then quickly ruled out of the rest of the match.

The incident occurred during a tackle by Jets linebacker Quincy Williams, who knocked down Badie as he tried to catch the ball.
Badie is then unable to catch his fall in the pouring rain, and his face mask is seen hitting the MetLife turf.
