This is the terrifying moment a ‘wrecking ball’ comes loose and smashes through the windscreen of a car, leaving two women screaming in fear.
Shocking footage shows the driver and her passenger traveling through Belfast on Tuesday evening when the giant ball appeared from seemingly nowhere and completely wiped out the moving car.
The chaos was astonishingly captured on dashcam, as the bike collapsed under the impact.
In the video, the women can be heard discussing roadworks along Shore Road, with the left lane completely closed while gas company Phoenix Energy makes improvements.
The two pass a bridge and are in the middle of a conversation when a heavy device – presumably a giant device used to test the pressure in pipes – is launched into the air from behind the roadblocks.

The ball heads straight for the car and a split second later it crashes into the windshield of the motorcycle, completely shattering the glass and front fascia.

The women immediately go into a frenzy and scream in fear as the camera screen goes black and chaos breaks out.
A woman screams in sheer panic as her friend tries to reassure her, repeatedly shouting, “You’re okay, you’re okay.”
Miraculously, no one was injured in the incident, despite one of the women apparently screaming in pain amid the ball’s destruction.
It is not known what caused the construction equipment to fly onto the road, but it appears that it came loose from its anchorage.
The harrowing footage was shared on social media with the caption: ‘Wrecking ball straight through the window of a car on Shore Road.
‘It must have just happened because it’s not on the news yet. Crazy.’
The clip has since received more than 1,000 likes and more than 90 comments from users who were stunned by what they saw.
One user said: ‘How on earth did it get loose from what it was holding?’
Another added: ‘This is one of those things used to test water pressure. It’s basically a huge sink stopper.’
A third wrote: ‘Final destination levels of bad luck.’
