Two naval officers had taken part in an operational demonstration on Sunday before miraculously landing at the Rama Krishna Breach in Andhra Pradesh’s Visakhapatnam, India.
The soldiers were participating in the Eastern Naval Command operational demonstration rehearsal when their parachutes became entangled in mid-air.
Nail-biting footage of the incident shows the pair falling from the sky at high speed with their parachutes tangled together.
One officer can come down with a green parachute, while the other features the national flag of India.
In the clip, both soldiers are seen spiraling out of control as they plunge towards the sea, before finally making contact with the open water in front of several shocked onlookers.
Fortunately, a naval boat was near the area where the two officers landed and took them to safety.
A number of locals were present to witness the rehearsal of the event to be held tomorrow where Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu will be the chief guest.

The Eastern Naval Command’s operational demonstration showcases the capabilities of the Indian Navy through an incredible and neatly choreographed selection of activities.
These include demonstrations by warships, submarines, aircraft, the Naval Band and the Marine Commandos (MARCOS).
According to local accounts of the event, guests will also be treated to high-speed maneuvers by warships of various types, flight operations by combat aircraft, maritime aircraft and fixed-wing helicopters, demonstrations of amphibious assaults, live skid operations and Combat Free Fall by MARCOS. .
The terrifying parachute failure comes after a skydiving videographer died during a skydive last year.
Durham Police said Sam Cornwell, 46, from Hampshire, UK, was skydiving near Shotton Airport in County Durham on Saturday, April 28, when his parachute failed to open.
He suffered serious injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene at the South West Industrial Estate in Shotton.
