Blood-curdling doorbell camera footage shows the moment a gang of robbers approached an elderly investment expert in his BMW after following him home from the bank.

Mark Gardner was surrounded by three men on Tuesday as he pulled into the driveway of his $1.1 million property in Dallas, Texas.

Footage shows the terrifying moment three men jumped from a silver car and surrounded his blue BMW 5-Series sedan.

All three pull out their guns and point them at Garner, 73, and his stepson who was in the vehicle at the time.

They start tapping the window with the barrel of the firearm while someone tries to hide his identity by holding a jacket to his face.

Gardner had just left a bank and returned to the property, the location of which DailyMail.com is not disclosing, after the family raised concerns about retaliation.

‘I think the message should get out. I never thought something like this would happen,” he said WFAA.

He added: “I said call your mother right away and tell her to hide in the house. I’m calling the police.

“They grabbed the butt of the gun and kept hitting it. ‘Give up! Give up!’

‘Maybe they think they’re invincible. But if they think they’re so tough, just wait until they end up in jail.”

The investment expert is calling on anyone with information to contact the police and is hopeful they will be arrested.

Gardener added that he is grateful he backed up so he could drive away, and urged others to be more aware of their surroundings.

‘Jugging’ involves following someone who leaves the bank with a large amount of money and breaking into it at the next stop.

As the blue BMW pulls into the driveway, they run to the car and try to break in by hitting their elbows on the windows.

All three appear to have guns and continue to cling to the car as Gardener manages to drive away.

Dallas police confirmed that the incident occurred around 1 p.m. on Tuesday, September 19, during which multiple suspects followed Gardner from the bank to a home and attempted to steal his money at gunpoint.

Law enforcement authorities are urging those who withdraw large amounts of cash to conceal it before leaving so it cannot be seen, and to call 911 if you believe you are being followed.
