This is the terrifying moment sparks flew from a Ryanair jet after the nose gear collapsed on landing at Dublin airport.
After the plane landed, an emergency was declared, with officials saying the plane had a “minor problem” with its landing gear.
No injuries were initially reported after the Ryanair flight arrived from Liverpool, as video emerged showing a stream of sparks flying from the plane’s front wheel as it landed on Sunday afternoon.
The video clip then showed rescue teams rushing to the plane.
Photos taken after the plane came to a stop showed that the front wheel and landing gear underneath were completely crumpled.

“The Dublin Airport Fire Service responded and passengers disembarked the aircraft normally once the airport fire service had given clearance,” said a statement from the Dublin Airport Authority.
National Ambulance Service personnel and medics met passengers at the terminal building upon arrival.
“This is now an aircraft salvage incident. There are no reports of injuries, although 1 person has been treated for shock,” the agency said in a statement.

Ryanair said in a statement that the plane had “a minor technical problem” with its nose landing gear on landing.
“Passengers and crew have disembarked normally and the aircraft will shortly be towed back to the hangar for further inspection by Ryanair engineers,” the statement said.

Air traffic operations were limited during the incident and due to the previous emergency, the north runway is the only one in use on Sunday night.
Speaking to the Irish Sun, a passenger said the landing was “really tough” and the plane “seemed to get a little out of control” when the brakes were applied.
“I felt at one point that the plane was going to flip sideways, as it veered off the runway and stopped dead,” the passenger told the publication.
“It all happened so fast it took me a while to realize what had happened.”
